I was there at that show.

That night, during Stipe's acapella performance of "Moon River", some guy in the balcony shouted out "FUUUCK YOU!" at the top of his lungs as Stipe paused during the song.

Without even a word acknowledging the clown in the balcony, Stipe just stopped completely, said "Hold on, we're gonna do this over" and started over from the beginning.

The 2nd time around, nobody said a thing. Kickass moment in time .
