This man was a genius. With a gentle soul and uncanny ability to arrange tunes for the guitar like no other.

Almeida was a great one! He played everything from Mancini to Villa-Lobos.

In addition to being a wonderful guitarist Almeida was also a great arranger of tunes for guitar. His arrangements add a depth of beauty and thoughtful commentary to many classic melodies. Most (I don't want to say all) of today's technically polished guitar heroes don't even approach his level of musical understanding and expression. He is one of the world's all time greatest guitar heroes. Not better than all the others but certainly in the company of the best.
