@Rusty4ND m24 uses the 7.62x51mm nato the SVD uses the 7.62x54r the 7.62x51mm nato is slightly just slightly longer in headspace than a .308 that's why its not good to shoot a .308 in a chambered 7.62x51mm nato not only will it damage the gun because the 7.62x51mm nato can't handle the PSI of a .308 it's also smaller in the chamber
@cumnugget45 the SVD is 1.25 moa to 2 that means at 1000 yards it's a 20 inch grouping thats accurate enough to hit someone not 100 percent of the time though less chance of an m40a3 or m24 or anything like that but it's still quit accurate at the range

No mortar that I know of, could take out a MBT with a HESH/HE Frag round. A well placed .50 BMG round to the engine would be useless, because in western tanks they're placed in the front of the tank, the thickest part of the armor.
@assaultriflesforever I don't want to be mister know it all. However, it isn't called TOE it's called TOW. There are several types of this missile, tandem war heads, HEAT, HE frag, etc. It's a powerful missile, 152mm does a helluva lot of damage.
That being said, I believe the average penetration is 900mm of RHAe, The M1A1 Abrams in the 80s could handle 1300-1350 mm RHAe of penetration against such warheads. In the frontal armor of course.

@Nater245689 first of all :everyone in germany is allowed to have a gun ... u just have to proof very precisly that u really need it for protection (and never did a crime) or u get into a shooting-club ...
i think most european ppl believe the wrong fact that u can buy a gun everywhere in US as easy as icecream ...
Personally i like guns but in my opinion its the wiser choice to not let everyone have one, u can kill ppl with knifes and cars but a gun is the easiest way for every idiot
@DriftkingS2K What kind of guns? I know Germany is pretty big on hunting, so I figured they were allowed to have hunting rifles. Can you get military style weaponry in Germany? .50 BMG sniper rifles? High capacity magazines? Hollow point ammunition? I'm doubtful that you could really have threatening armaments in most European countries.
I have shot the KAC M110 and SR-25. Not very impresed. IMO a better way to go is the Mark 12 SPR 5.56 w/ the Black hills MK262 77gr (5.0) round. The Mk 262 is a match quality round manufactured by Black Hills Ammunition made originally for the Special Purpose Rifle (SPR). It uses a 77-grain (5.0 g) bullet that is more effective at longer ranges than the standard issue M855
@addictedtopiano What ignorance? Germany, your home country, is rampant with official censorship. Yes, America has more gun crime than Western Europe. I never disputed that. It's a price to be paid for having the right to keep and bear arms. In case you didn't know, gun control like you see in German is ILLEGAL in the United States. It violates the Second Amendment of the Constitution. You limp wristed Europeans can keep go on living your boring, unarmed lives. We'll do just fine.
@Nater245689 I'd like to see someone do a study in which the number of guns in legal, civilian circulation is compared to the number of gun-related deaths. That would really be telling. It's nigh impossible to own a gun in Singapore, not surprising that they don't have many gun related homicides.
@Nater245689 Apart from outing yourself as coldblooded (letting plp die > keeping guns, yay), congratulations stranger: now since you have realized your constitution as the problem, time to change that? duh.
@addictedtopiano Automobile accidents kill far, far more people in the United States than guns do. That's all guns, counting illegally owned or obtained weapons that do most of the killing. Automobiles also cause far more damage to the ecosystem. Are you going to argue for the banning of automobiles? Of course you're not, that would be stupid.
@Nater245689 You make a valid point. However I don't advocate banning cars in general, i advocate the development of electric cars for the mass market, like the company 'better place', who's CEO is Shai Agassi, does.
@addictedtopiano Electric cars, huh? That won't change how many people are killed by them. Not to mention where that electricity will come from. It won't come from solar and wind, it'll come from coal in most cases. Electric cars likely have the same or an even greater negative environmental impact. That is, unless nuclear power is used. Few countries have their heads on straight when it comes to that, France is the only one I can think of.
@addictedtopiano The men who founded the United States had the forethought to imagine that eventually a government wholly opposed to the rights of the populace would one day come to power. The right of civilians to own weapon for their own defense is a counterbalance to this. Don't think so? Then why, in any country, when a repressive regime comes into power, do they start to restrict firearms? Because firearms allow the populace to fight back. Your naivety is astounding.
@Nater245689 I've heard this argument before. Let's stay on the example of the US. I don't think it's realistic that your citicens can outgun the most powerful military might in the world. Revolutions 'from the bottom up' have succeeded in Tunesia & Egypt, because the military (-leadership) turned their backs to the dictators.
@addictedtopiano Look at Afghanistan, look at Iraq, look at any insurgency. A nimble, lightly armed, low-tech guerilla force can cause massive problems for a large, powerful military. A revolution has a better chance of succeeding if the military stays out of it, but it's not required. Not to mention that the bulk of the US military isn't in the United States, it's off protecting the empire. That leaves the National Guard.
A 308 isn't i really strong gun i use one for hunting and deer still run it doesn't have great knockdown power so it's still not impressive even at that range
@RahRahRaharu Army Special Forces (Green Berets) and Delta Force are also using the HK416. In 2004, Delta Force replaced all of its M4s with the HK416 after tests revealed that the piston operating system significantly reduces malfunctions while increasing the life of parts.
Another Interesting point is the SR25 carbine now available from KAC. It started as an internal/unofficial SEAL team requirement in which the LM&T SOPMOD retractable butt was affixed the end of a MK 11. This came about after Mk 12 with the same retractable stock. Interesting trickle down eh. Now there are some Mk 11 shorties in SpecWar but mostly it is SCAR-H filling that role. SCAR-L was hated by the teams and at least DEVGRU got the HK416 instead.
SR25= KAC nomenclature. Mk 11 Mod 0 is the US nAvy's nomenclature, still same exact weapon. M110 is same basic rifle but actually built to less exacting US Army Standards. I.E. the Flash Hider on the M110 cuts accuracy down a 100 yards or so. But M110 has new features that Mk 11 Mod 0 does not. Both good weapons for their intended use and intended users. I have nevr touched M110 only Mk 11 Mod 0. And both have the SR25 stamp from the factory.
Just as a reminder if you get hit in the chest with this thing you are done. The damage it does internally is massive. The main point of the .50 cal is to take out very high priority targets like vans or fortified bunkers. The SR-25 is geared directly towards low priority targets like soldiers.
@CaptainFluffy6644 No, because sniper's are scarrier. People are more scared when they don't know where the threat is. A tank is definitely more dangerous, but it's the last thing you WANT to face, not the most dangerous thing TO face. Anyways, that's just my opinion.
@CaptainFluffy6644 oh you can see a tank and the life expectancy of one is 10 seconds on the battlefield. I'd rather a tank that a sniper thats 1km away and practically invisible.
@CaptainFluffy6644 Chuck Norris, yeah, be very afraid of. As for tanks, there "are" anti-material sniper rounds. In other words, bullets that can pierce armor plating. I'd be scared of snipers, yo. :P
@Gamesharked If you know anything about anti-material rounds, you would know that they are for taking out explosive ordinances, and unarmored vehicles, DEFINITELY NOT A FREAKING TANK. A M1-Abrams can withstand a direct hit from a Hellfire missile(anti-tank missile) on the top hatch and still come out fine and here you saying that a piece of metal can go through tank armor while a freaking depleted uranium sabot round fired from a tank cannot.
@xl3litz /watch?v=Bu_Ptdh02vI Maybe not heavy armor like an M1 Abrams, but you never specified what type of tank(s). Granted, I think that the link I provided is a little deceiving as they didn't use a thick sheet of metal, but it still had enough power to go through "two" of those steel sheets. I'd be tempted to see what it does with about 2 or 3 of those metal sheets attached together.
220 yards.. not that impressive. They should have shown it at over 300 yards for the demonstration for it to prove its role . Snipers are not to fire at under 300 yards unless they are in immediate danger. It is a nice firearm though.
@irakli241 WRONG!!!!!! Dude SR-25 Is Created by Knights the HK is created by Heckler & Koch.HK is what bullshit say "An Improvement of the M4A1"It has very bad accuracy.Don't say shit about things u don't know. Tnxs Google
@Crazygamer154 Yeah, the SR-25 definitely isn't based on the HK416 but, you are wrong about it's stats. The HK416 is an immprovement to the M4A1 because the piston operating system significantly reduces malfunctions while increasing the life of parts. The accuracy isn't really different from the M4A1. If the HK416 was so "inaccurate", do you think Delta Force would have replaced all its M4s with the HK416 in 2004? Do you think the Army Special Forces would use it? I don't think so.
@Crazygamer154 Not too mention you can swap out barrels in under 2 minutes which yields different performances. You also have the option of purchasing a new upper receiver, buffer, and drive spring to refurbish M4s which converts it into an HK416. Yields you the same accuracy but, with the reliability of the HK416.
@loulimina How can something be 'more lethal'? Lethal implies that it is enough to kill, ie, make something dead. How can something be made more dead? The Barrett is a giant of a gun, it has so many limitations; huge recoil, ridiculous length (you could pole vault with it...), leaden weight. The SR-25 delivers precision semi-automatic anti-infantry fire power in under 15 pounds.
Barrett has too many Modern Warfare fanboys who don't realise it's got a specific purpose; high armour penetration.
@curtisreidbarnes123 just like a .50 caliber bmg is more lethal than a .22 lr. what are you brain dead? and im not defending mw, fuck that faggot game. stupid bitchass 5yo gamers tryna talk like they know a thing about guns
Yeah, try running arround with a 9kg weapon. I tried that in Airsoft, luckily enough, it only had 8kg, although I couldn't sprint, had to leave it at the door when i wanted to rush a house and use my mp5k, there was no way i could take it on my back with the vest. Thank God the sniper ain't mine, I love my SR25, has one of the longest barrels and that means accuracy and power
@CMeKillYou As I have told many and it's written in the info. You are right and you are wrong. I love it how the slang M110 has been adopted, when its real nomenclature was SR-25 Mk11 Mod 0. Which my KAC sources tell me stood for Stoner Rifle 25 Mark 11 Modification 0. Rip the rails and stocks off a m110 or Mk11 Mod 0 and guess what you got... SR-25.
@ovalnet um dude... the M110 is a completely ambi system where the SR-25 is made for right handed shooters primarily just like a standard AR15 system.... so technically even without the stock and the URX rail system... its still an M110 SASS
@DeltaWinters88 every time I stop the video on 1:09 the lower has SR-25 stamped on the bottom. Interesting. So technically without the lower the M110 is a blow gun with a nice rail. KAC's bolt technology is nice and one of a kind too which is an innate R&D from the SR-25. So no Bolt, No Lower (the lower is also proprietary design spec.), No M110.
Now you are right there are certain designs that make the M110 unique on it's own, but pay homage to the horse. Stoner/Knight SR-25
@ovalnet Haha? Without the lower and the bolt... the upper alone isn't even considered a fire arm... Its the lower that defines it as a "firearm" so technically its still an M110 lol... Not that I'm hating on the SR-25 or anything lol I love em to death and I've seen a firing demo of one at a gun show before but lol I'd rather take M110 than an SR-25 lol. Hell even my airsoft gun is based off of an SR-25 I love those things so much lol Don't worry I'll pay homage to the SR25 its just a name lol
@ovalnet As far as i know. The m110 is the name adopted by the US military. It was chosen when it had the name SR-25, as made by its manufactures, but just like the M4, it had a different name when it was originally made.
@DeltaWinters88 Freeze the video at 1:09 and you can clearly see this weapon is stamped SR-25. Military nomenclatures have always become the "buzz word" used for weapons over the years. Stoner Rifle or M16? AR15 or M4? Thompson is one of the few companies that comes to mind that actually retained its production name during WWII.
@ovalnet Go on wikipedia and search for M110 Semi-automatic sniper system. Go to the design section and it says that it's "similar to the SR-25/Mk 11 Mod 0" Although the differences are the stock and the rail system, you can't call it an SR-25. It's like arguing that you can call an M4a1 and M16 cuz they're both based on an AR-15.
@ovalnet the m110 is replacing the sr25, and sr does not stand for stoner rifle, it stands for sniper rifle. the m110 has a different stock, suppresor, rails, scope and mount. the sr 25 is still a great rifle, but it is deffinitley becoming obsolete and is being phased out. the m110 is also better equiped for in line night visison and even comes w its own thermal. the m110 is also shorter and lighter maing it more effective. just cause u got a hard on for a rifle doesnt mean u kno all about it.
@ovalnet and if sr did stand for stoner rifle than wouldnt the m16 be sr16? no its not. but the designated marksman rifle version of the m16 is called the sr16 because it is the sniper version of that rifle
SR25 vs M-110? What's the difference? I think what they are using in the video is the M-110 SASS, unless the guns are the same? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
$29,999 of awesome lol btw this isnt an sr-25, the lower is though, theres a 22k difference and the .308 is a bit underpowerd at range, and these guns arnt as accurate as you think max range isnt the same as max EFFECTIVE range. max effective range is about the same as a 5.56 spr.
Your right and your wrong. That's what my friends at Knight, who actually build the rifle, would tell you. Recently I had the pleasure of holding one of these monsters at the range. Such a nicely made rifle. The M16 was a Stoner Rifle, before it was M16.
That will be the rifle that will breaks the Canadian kids record. Now I think they made that round for that gun. I have to go check that again. I remember the pocket computer, now that's intense.
@ovalnet LOL man im Canadain so when the record comes up im so patriotic LOL 2 miles though with a gun that wasnt rlly good man...i have to give some cred to the american which supplied the ammo for the kill LOL but man did he have to basically adjust like hell for that shot LOL man
holy crap this is only $500 more in Canada then the US? hell yeah im saving up now.

@Nater245689 No, we (Germans) are not 'big on guns & hunting', we get our food from the grocery stores :)

It uses a 77-grain (5.0 g) bullet that is more effective at longer ranges than the standard issue M855

addictedtopiano 11 months ago
@addictedtopiano What ignorance? Germany, your home country, is rampant with official censorship. Yes, America has more gun crime than Western Europe. I never disputed that. It's a price to be paid for having the right to keep and bear arms. In case you didn't know, gun control like you see in German is ILLEGAL in the United States. It violates the Second Amendment of the Constitution. You limp wristed Europeans can keep go on living your boring, unarmed lives. We'll do just fine.
Nater245689 11 months ago
@Nater245689 I'd like to see someone do a study in which the number of guns in legal, civilian circulation is compared to the number of gun-related deaths. That would really be telling. It's nigh impossible to own a gun in Singapore, not surprising that they don't have many gun related homicides.
Nater245689 11 months ago
@Nater245689 Apart from outing yourself as coldblooded (letting plp die > keeping guns, yay), congratulations stranger: now since you have realized your constitution as the problem, time to change that? duh.
addictedtopiano 11 months ago
@addictedtopiano Automobile accidents kill far, far more people in the United States than guns do. That's all guns, counting illegally owned or obtained weapons that do most of the killing. Automobiles also cause far more damage to the ecosystem. Are you going to argue for the banning of automobiles? Of course you're not, that would be stupid.
Nater245689 11 months ago
@Nater245689 You make a valid point. However I don't advocate banning cars in general, i advocate the development of electric cars for the mass market, like the company 'better place', who's CEO is Shai Agassi, does.
addictedtopiano 11 months ago
@addictedtopiano Electric cars, huh? That won't change how many people are killed by them. Not to mention where that electricity will come from. It won't come from solar and wind, it'll come from coal in most cases. Electric cars likely have the same or an even greater negative environmental impact. That is, unless nuclear power is used. Few countries have their heads on straight when it comes to that, France is the only one I can think of.
Nater245689 11 months ago
@addictedtopiano The men who founded the United States had the forethought to imagine that eventually a government wholly opposed to the rights of the populace would one day come to power. The right of civilians to own weapon for their own defense is a counterbalance to this. Don't think so? Then why, in any country, when a repressive regime comes into power, do they start to restrict firearms? Because firearms allow the populace to fight back. Your naivety is astounding.
Nater245689 11 months ago
@Nater245689 I've heard this argument before. Let's stay on the example of the US. I don't think it's realistic that your citicens can outgun the most powerful military might in the world. Revolutions 'from the bottom up' have succeeded in Tunesia & Egypt, because the military (-leadership) turned their backs to the dictators.
addictedtopiano 11 months ago
@addictedtopiano Look at Afghanistan, look at Iraq, look at any insurgency. A nimble, lightly armed, low-tech guerilla force can cause massive problems for a large, powerful military. A revolution has a better chance of succeeding if the military stays out of it, but it's not required. Not to mention that the bulk of the US military isn't in the United States, it's off protecting the empire. That leaves the National Guard.

RahRahRaharu 1 year ago
@RahRahRaharu Army Special Forces (Green Berets) and Delta Force are also using the HK416. In 2004, Delta Force replaced all of its M4s with the HK416 after tests revealed that the piston operating system significantly reduces malfunctions while increasing the life of parts.

@RahRahRaharu Oh, yeah, my Army Rangers are also using them in Irag :)
ProTuner06 1 year ago
@ProTuner06 Nice! The only thing I dislike on the 416 is the wierd butt stock but that is an easy fix. Cool shit man.
RahRahRaharu 1 year ago
Another Interesting point is the SR25 carbine now available from KAC. It started as an internal/unofficial SEAL team requirement in which the LM&T SOPMOD retractable butt was affixed the end of a MK 11. This came about after Mk 12 with the same retractable stock. Interesting trickle down eh. Now there are some Mk 11 shorties in SpecWar but mostly it is SCAR-H filling that role. SCAR-L was hated by the teams and at least DEVGRU got the HK416 instead.
RahRahRaharu 1 year ago

TheBodyGuard32 8 months ago
@CaptainFluffy6644 No, because sniper's are scarrier. People are more scared when they don't know where the threat is. A tank is definitely more dangerous, but it's the last thing you WANT to face, not the most dangerous thing TO face. Anyways, that's just my opinion.

Failcard 6 months ago
@CaptainFluffy6644 oh you can see a tank and the life expectancy of one is 10 seconds on the battlefield. I'd rather a tank that a sniper thats 1km away and practically invisible.
ItsTheHarro 6 months ago
@CaptainFluffy6644 Chuck Norris, yeah, be very afraid of. As for tanks, there "are" anti-material sniper rounds. In other words, bullets that can pierce armor plating. I'd be scared of snipers, yo. :P
Gamesharked 5 months ago
@Gamesharked If you know anything about anti-material rounds, you would know that they are for taking out explosive ordinances, and unarmored vehicles, DEFINITELY NOT A FREAKING TANK. A M1-Abrams can withstand a direct hit from a Hellfire missile(anti-tank missile) on the top hatch and still come out fine and here you saying that a piece of metal can go through tank armor while a freaking depleted uranium sabot round fired from a tank cannot.
xl3litz 5 months ago

Crazygamer154 1 year ago
@Crazygamer154 Yeah, the SR-25 definitely isn't based on the HK416 but, you are wrong about it's stats. The HK416 is an immprovement to the M4A1 because the piston operating system significantly reduces malfunctions while increasing the life of parts. The accuracy isn't really different from the M4A1. If the HK416 was so "inaccurate", do you think Delta Force would have replaced all its M4s with the HK416 in 2004? Do you think the Army Special Forces would use it? I don't think so.
ProTuner06 1 year ago
@Crazygamer154 Not too mention you can swap out barrels in under 2 minutes which yields different performances. You also have the option of purchasing a new upper receiver, buffer, and drive spring to refurbish M4s which converts it into an HK416. Yields you the same accuracy but, with the reliability of the HK416.
Btw, I have hands on experience with both rifles.

there is an diference between the sr 25 and the m110, though they are indeed related

SR-25 is good, but barrett 50 cal is way more lethal ...
loulimina 1 year ago
@loulimina How can something be 'more lethal'? Lethal implies that it is enough to kill, ie, make something dead. How can something be made more dead? The Barrett is a giant of a gun, it has so many limitations; huge recoil, ridiculous length (you could pole vault with it...), leaden weight. The SR-25 delivers precision semi-automatic anti-infantry fire power in under 15 pounds.
Barrett has too many Modern Warfare fanboys who don't realise it's got a specific purpose; high armour penetration.

CMeKillYou 1 year ago 8
@CMeKillYou As I have told many and it's written in the info. You are right and you are wrong. I love it how the slang M110 has been adopted, when its real nomenclature was SR-25 Mk11 Mod 0. Which my KAC sources tell me stood for Stoner Rifle 25 Mark 11 Modification 0. Rip the rails and stocks off a m110 or Mk11 Mod 0 and guess what you got... SR-25.
ovalnet 1 year ago 13
@ovalnet um dude... the M110 is a completely ambi system where the SR-25 is made for right handed shooters primarily just like a standard AR15 system.... so technically even without the stock and the URX rail system... its still an M110 SASS
DeltaWinters88 1 year ago 8
@DeltaWinters88 every time I stop the video on 1:09 the lower has SR-25 stamped on the bottom. Interesting. So technically without the lower the M110 is a blow gun with a nice rail. KAC's bolt technology is nice and one of a kind too which is an innate R&D from the SR-25. So no Bolt, No Lower (the lower is also proprietary design spec.), No M110.
Now you are right there are certain designs that make the M110 unique on it's own, but pay homage to the horse. Stoner/Knight SR-25
ovalnet 1 year ago 2
@ovalnet Haha? Without the lower and the bolt... the upper alone isn't even considered a fire arm... Its the lower that defines it as a "firearm" so technically its still an M110 lol... Not that I'm hating on the SR-25 or anything lol I love em to death and I've seen a firing demo of one at a gun show before but lol I'd rather take M110 than an SR-25 lol. Hell even my airsoft gun is based off of an SR-25 I love those things so much lol Don't worry I'll pay homage to the SR25 its just a name lol
DeltaWinters88 1 year ago
@ovalnet As far as i know. The m110 is the name adopted by the US military. It was chosen when it had the name SR-25, as made by its manufactures, but just like the M4, it had a different name when it was originally made.
xXxDrumminFoolxXx 1 year ago
@ovalnet but the SR-25 shouldn't have a fire selector on the right side.
AltanRift 11 months ago
@ovalnet so ok this is an M110 though your saying SR25. i dont suppose you wanna go ahead and call the hk416 an m4 do you??
lifelikeawetdream 10 months ago
@DeltaWinters88 Freeze the video at 1:09 and you can clearly see this weapon is stamped SR-25. Military nomenclatures have always become the "buzz word" used for weapons over the years. Stoner Rifle or M16? AR15 or M4? Thompson is one of the few companies that comes to mind that actually retained its production name during WWII.
ovalnet 9 months ago
@ovalnet Go on wikipedia and search for M110 Semi-automatic sniper system. Go to the design section and it says that it's "similar to the SR-25/Mk 11 Mod 0" Although the differences are the stock and the rail system, you can't call it an SR-25. It's like arguing that you can call an M4a1 and M16 cuz they're both based on an AR-15.
XxSoupaSebxX 1 year ago
@ovalnet the m110 is replacing the sr25, and sr does not stand for stoner rifle, it stands for sniper rifle. the m110 has a different stock, suppresor, rails, scope and mount. the sr 25 is still a great rifle, but it is deffinitley becoming obsolete and is being phased out. the m110 is also better equiped for in line night visison and even comes w its own thermal. the m110 is also shorter and lighter maing it more effective. just cause u got a hard on for a rifle doesnt mean u kno all about it.
AndrewRay14 1 year ago
@ovalnet and if sr did stand for stoner rifle than wouldnt the m16 be sr16? no its not. but the designated marksman rifle version of the m16 is called the sr16 because it is the sniper version of that rifle
