No, buying animals from pet stores is not awesome. When you buy animals from pet stores, you're supporting things like puppy mills. I think you and Paris Hilton are really sick. I will be best to adapt a pet from an animal shelter or humane society instead of buying a pet from a pet store.

Oh dear, it is not about preferring humans over animals (at least it shouldn't be). It is just about common sense and having compassion for everyone. Why support unnecessary suffering and exploitation? The question is absurd.

People just choose their cause, that doesn't mean we don't care about humans. Just because someone advocates against child labor for example, doesn't make him a racist or sexist now does it? Educate yourself.
