These young ladies are very intelligent and impressive. I am happy to see them speak about their culture and the transition into American culture. I am curious about their expereinces being 'assumed to be Black' from Black American culture. I am raising a 5 year old is Bete (Ivory Coast) and Black American (Louisiana - a U.S. French Colony). I have her in French classes already, for the past 3 years even!. It is important for me to expose her to her culture from both me and her dad.
