@Lewis9449 'Cause before 1965 they actually WERE painted black. But later it was changed to orange so they are easier to spot if a accident occurs. Nobody bothered changing their name. :P

I mentioned this flight at school (because of this show I am trying to become an aircraft mechanic) and yea....weight and balance looks that the possible average weight....such as a mixture of men, women....not taking into conditions of air densities, weather, and other mitigating conditions.

The AVERAGE weight on a male is considered to be 170lbs...not including extra gear on them...military men can be 200lbs + each.
