Justine Frischmann was soooo supercool you have no idea. Most female pop stars in the 80s were very girly-sexy (very much like now in fact), and image was everything. Elastica were part of a movement that said 'sod that for a game of poker, I'm gonna wear what I want'. Mostly the bands were male, but then there was Elastica. They showed you could wear cool comfy clothes and still be goddam hotttt! No high heels and lycra miniskirts here!!!
