@jr. i though the same thing. he's almost behind the orchestra at times and trying to play catch his upper register suffers in the octave jumps. as he has such a lusciou lower register warmth, for me he almost carries off the tempo 3/4 of the way through.

@totorolove543 Don't worry very few would compare with this.....maybe this is a bit too fast?? Galway played some pieces very fast also.

Rampal always played these too fast...always a brilliant sound, but it's not really as musical when it flys by so fast...
