hey have u ever read the percy jackson books? i knew this myth before i read them and i saw the kids of Dionysus were named Castor and Pollux and im just like "Ooooo that's gonna be sad.." and castor did end up dying in the 4th book. i cry every time i read his funeral scene.

If Castor and Pollux are from Sparta, shouldn't they be in the army about now? Seems strange the Spartans would allow them to waste their skills on cheap exhibitions.

Yes, same character. Pollux is the Latinization of Polydeuces, just like Hercules/Heracles, or Jupiter/Zeus.

Most of them I taped off of TV.
You'll have a lot of trouble finding them that way, Nelvanna has absolutely zilch interest in marketing this program commercially.

They were royalty, and both thought to be demigods (though Castor was not), so more or less were able to do what they wanted.

these myths also come from way before sparta was set in her ways of being a warrior society. they had no helots to suppress then.
