Also, most of these hits are good hits, shoulder first into the chest- a lot of the damage is being caused by impact with the ice. The only thing I don't like about some of them is house his defensive partner railroads them into him, but hey, it was the 90s- whatever works!

Stevens hits were very opportunistic, not saying that is a bad thing at all. He had a great knack for timing a hit on a guy when they had their head down. That being said, you should know better than to rush the puck against him with your head down. Usually a very clean and hard hitter. Much cleaner than Ulf Samuelson who went for peoples knees.
nowdays most of these hits would be classified as a head shot and he'd be fined and suspended and called a nasty dirty player. and the kariya hit was clean, it was within 3 seconds. might have been uncalled for, but it was legitamately clean.

i am getting sick and tired of americans who think they know hockey but know nothing about it, maybe you should try playing some hockey before you make a comment like that. The hit on lindros was clean, he hit with his shoulder the elbow comes up from follow through after he hits him he brings it up hints follow through that is normal that is how you hit. sorta like pushing the guy away from you. sorry to true american hockey fans but there are some sissy american fans that know nothing.

Stevens hits were very opportunistic, not saying that is a bad thing at all. He had a great knack for timing a hit on a guy when they had their head down. That being said, you should know better than to rush the puck against him with your head down. Usually a very clean and hard hitter. Much cleaner than Ulf Samuelson who went for peoples knees.

nowdays most of these hits would be classified as a head shot and he'd be fined and suspended and called a nasty dirty player. and the kariya hit was clean, it was within 3 seconds. might have been uncalled for, but it was legitamately clean.

maybe 50 % of the tackles are clean.. look at the kariya hit, he passes the puck three years before the hit.. hope he got sent of the ice for that nasty tackle..

there is a piece of the human anatomy that may go over looked by those such a \s yourself, its just between the shoulder and the elbow, while it may be in the same vicinity of the human elbow there is a difference, you may want to try looking it up.

All of you who say that this man's so awesome and the best hitter in the game are really idiots... Ice-hockey is a rough sport, yes... but as far as i'm concerned those last 3 were just... not normal. For example kozlov's career pretty much ended there. If you admire this guy and don't know how he doesn't give a shit of what happens to the guys he hits, then get some help... Would love to hear your opinion after you've been hit like that.
