@stoughton1 It was designed in the 50's so yes.The T55 tank uses the same engine.Its so big,that it has its own compartment in the back of the tractor.It more resembles a train than a truck,though dont let the small numbers of the engine fool you.The 8x8 offroad tractor can pull 70 tons acording to papers,but ive seen one,that pulled 100 ton payload easily.Search for one in youtube and you will see how big these tractors are.

@stoughton1 But its not specially made for offroad terrain.Most soviet offroad trucks are specially built for undrivable terrains,while most commercial trucks seen with offroad tires are mostly adaptations from their commercial use.Which means,that their frame wont be able to bend,they wont have independent suspension etc.

@stoughton1 I have a KrAZ-255W tractor unit and it has a 330hp 14,8 v8 diesel and is 6x6.It can pull 15-20 tons on offroad terrain and up to 60 tons on the paved roads.My truck doesnt have two stick transmission,but it has a low/high range stick and a 5 speed box.It also has a winch which is powered by the transmission box.
