  • This is very true I'm a goth & a lot of people judge me , think bad about it . But they never really take the chance to listen what being goth is really about

  • Dude my friend hates goths and she's emo so I always listened to her but now you changed my opinion on goth

  • that's deep

  • I'm emo so wutever

  • Your welcome n great vid!!!

    =)melissaxox

  • Goth is not a label, it is a feeling. You can't label goth, that wouldn't be goth. But feeling goth is goth, to recognize your feelings is NOT goth. Goth music does bring you closer to your inner goth, without recognizing the feeling of being goth.Feelings have no place in goth, goths have no feelings, except for the feeling that goth music gives goths, which IS goth. Beauty & darkness in the music makes goths feel, without feeling, goth.To feel beauty is not goth but to feel darkness is gothier.

  • @tumonni1040 It's not a feeling either. That's what emo is. Goth is a type of music.

Get your facts straight, kid. ;)

  • goth isnt music and goths and emos arnt alike goth is people that see beauty in places that other people dont

  • Some stuff is right, but some other topics need to be.... more accurate.

  • Goth isn't an image or a type of music; you can't purchase goth. Police officers are goth as are preachers and so on. You don't flaunt goth or defend it you respect it. Goth isnt discussed it is known and felt. So many use Goth only because society accepts it not knowing the truth of our hell. Watching twilight and harry potter doesn't make you dark and deep. Goth isn't about having orgies. One rule: Never explain yourself.

  • Nocturnal Journal The Witches weep while Warlocks wail In joy they mourn the Banshees gale (Which only makes my blood run cold in flame of shame I must do tell) that warms dark souls vampires are told Of Goth and Ghoul and Gargoyle fold To keep awake for vigilant guard Of secluded tombs of Grave's backyard Slept in those from vanished wombs Forever and ever in silent tombs (This Nocturne tale so far I quiver I now freeze still with fright I shiver)

  • What is Goth, baby dont hurt me...

  • "Goth is a feeling" - Lmao, "I'm feeling very Goth today"

  • PetrusKilrochovich73, I've got another goth band for you, Evanescence!

  • This video is stupid

I am a goth and I don't want to die!!!!!!!

Yes I find beauty in dark clothes but I certainly don't find it in death

And y is death such a bad thing ???

It isn't but for god sake this isn't a joke

  • FUCK THIS VIDEO!GOTH IS A WAY OF EXPRSSING URE SELF! IF U WHERE TO BE LIKE ANYONE ELSE THERE WOULD BE NOBODY DIFFERENT! BITCHES LIKE THE ONE WHO CREATED THIS VID THINK WERE LIKE THE DEVILS CHILDREN! WE ARE NOT! ONLY IF WE WANT TO! DONE XD!

  • I have to agree with nateeatsshitalot and add...if you are looking for the answer to what a Goth is you are not one....stop pretending and leave us alone....what can be seen and felt cannot be written here...EVER.....you want the beauty of it..go find it, but first you MUST die...that death is not what you think...find the bottom..of you...the real one.

  • Holy shit, you're more retarded than the person who made this video.

  • Yes, be yourself, as someone told in the comments here.. But who lets you be yourself sometimes? I mean, im not actually really goth, im not too depressed but sometimes I feel like one.. And in my place there are not many ppl who think like this, I think :P Thanx for making this, even they cant see it :p

  • Thnx for understanding us...

  • Asrai!!! :D

  • Emos called me emos once I was like wtf

  • I think one book defines goth. Flowers of Evil by Charles Baudelaire. You have to be socially and Politically aware. And more importantly just be yourself.

  • Speaking as a proud and productive member of the Positive Punk (GOTH, for you high-school ignoramuses who don't recognize actual terms for things), I would like to tell the maker of this video, along with anybody who agrees with what it has to say, to SOD OFF.

Want to be Goth? Listen to the music.

Want to listen the music? Look up the staples of Goth Music: Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy, Christian Death, Sex Gang Children, THE CURE FOR FUCK'S SAKE.

    Lern2Deathrock. Fuckers.

  • @nateeatsshitalot

    "Post Punk Scene"*

  • @nateeatsshitalot so true ='[ thank you!

  • @nateeatsshitalot And Type O Negative...

  • @PetrusKilrochovich73 Are you fucking kidding? No. Just, no.

  • @nateeatsshitalot No im not fucking kidding. Type O is a Gothic metal band too.

  • @PetrusKilrochovich73 Gothic Metal, and the Goth subculture are TWO COMPLETELY FUCKING DIFFERENT THINGS YOU IGNORANT COCK SUCKER.

  • @nateeatsshitalot Hey fucktard, yelling in capital letters doesnt fucking intimidate me. Besides I was just adding on to the list of fucking Gothic bands so next time you wanna fuckin start shit maybe you outta fucking pay attention to whats being said you chode chomping butt-fucker.

  • @PetrusKilrochovich73 If you're going to add Goth bands, make sure they're actually Goth first. I'm going to reiterate this once again: Gothic metal and Goth music are two completely different things. Don't post Gothic Metal when I'm trying to get the point of ACTUAL Goth across.

  • @nateeatsshitalot What, you know everything there is to know about being Goth? Im Goth and i just decide to add a band that ARE Goth to your list of Gothic bands and you fuckin assault me with shit like callin me "ignorant cock sucker". Type O Negative happens to be a Gothic band too. So what if its fuckin metal. Gothic music isnt all on genre.

  • @PetrusKilrochovich73 You're right, Goth ISN'T defined to one genre. It's defined to mainly four: Goth Rock, Deathrock, Batcave, and Post-punk. Goth developed out of the post-punk movement in London, e.g. Bauhaus (known to some as "proto-Goth.") Gothic metal developed out of METAL, and is not associated with the actual Goth subculture in any way. Tell me, have you ever bothered to do any research on Goth at all? Before proclaiming yourself Goth, go look up the Goth subculture on WIkipedia.

  • @nateeatsshitalot Tell me this, if Gothic metal isnt associated with the Gothic culture in any way, then why even name that particular genre "Gothic Metal"? And Wikipedia isnt the most accurate of websites.....And if Gothic metal developed out of metal then wouldnt it mean hat Gothic rock developed out of rock? And if you wanted to state a fuckin point, you couldve stated it without calling people "fuckers" and shit like that.

  • @PetrusKilrochovich73 Jesus Christ, you are retarded. Much like Goth Rock, Gothic Metal gets its influence from the Gothic/Romantic era of literature. Originally Goth Rock was coined as "positive punk," as developed out of post punk like I said. The term "Goth rock" was a pun based off of the bands' lyrical quality, and the name more or less stuck. Also, whether or not Wikipedia is a "reliable source," its article on the Goth subculture is incredibly accurate, so I suggest you read it.

  • @nateeatsshitalot Im not fuckin retarded.

  • @PetrusKilrochovich73

Well in all honesty you're bloody acting like it. People like you are why I call myself a Deathrocker.

  • @nateeatsshitalot Well in all honesty i dont give a fuck what you call yourself.

  • @nateeatsshitalot What about the Dark Dildos of Doom, are they goth? Or the Batcave Intrusion, or the Spooky Scrodes? Or the Brown Bloodfires? How about Fistfucked With Fangs or the Gooch of Golgotha, they're pretty goth aren't they? Or the Stool of Hellfire, they're from Mexico. Or Pitchfork Enimma, they're pretty hot, or Blah!! I'm a Vampire!( formally known as Fuck You Yankee Blue Jeans) or Kornholed by Koetulu, Satanic Hispanic in a Panic, or Butters Stoch Overdrive? They're the gothiest!

  • @tumonni1040 Or Twelves Inches of Torture, AquaNet Appocalypse, or Queefs from the Darkside? Don't you think they're goth? Or how about the Silent Creepers, Vladginal, or Dark on the Outside Pink on the Inside?

  • @nateeatsshitalot This is true, but no need to be angry about it. :)

  • Either english isn't your first language, or you speak very different english in another country... either way, great video.... I'm not a pure goth, but <3 it anyways :)

  • I also pride myself on not following whatever happens to be popular at the moment and on my individuality. I also hate it when people try to change who they are just to fit into some group when thats not what they are. So if anyone could hel p me out with this question, thanks.

  • @Grunge4ever1993

I'll bite. No one could ever tell you who you are and you don't have to be goth to enjoy the music. I went off to school from the city, discovered moody snow covered hills with gray sky's, found tons of music from the college radio station where I got a show including alt, punk, oi, metal, industrial and of course, goth. In fact, most of my friends are goth but I'm not but the music and the imagery it depicts is exceptional and wonderful. You sound focused so be yourself.

  • ... listening to goth music.

  • Ive got a question if anyone can answer. i was wondering if i could be considered goth. I think dark and depressing scenery, weather, images , and films are extremely beautiful. What i find beautiful often disturbs others but what disturbs others i dont neccesarily find beautiful. i hate it when people judge people by their appearence, money, social standing, ect, and not by who they are. The only violent acts id do would be in defense of myself or others and i would not hesitate. btw, i love...

  • I'm goth I believe that people that can't understand the goth scene really cares about the story to tell of each one of us, their ignorance confuse them, I personally never care what people thinks about me but I certainly know for sure that I'm different from the rest cause I follow my own convictions

  • Okay, lemme tell all you goths something. I'm an old black skinhead who's listened to Goth since the 80's. Christian Death, Bauhaus, DCD, The Cure, etc. All of those asshole people and most likely you classmates give you shit because they want your ass. The stupid jocks want goth girls and they mess with them because of typical bullshit of not being able to understand them. The preppy girls DO like goth guys but goth folks have one massive problem: they don't fight back. Defend yourselves.

  • this is very true

  • This video is very stereotypical.

  • Umm I'm just an average person...noo well actually normal bordering scene kid, if I didn't have this Curly hair I probably would be scene. But I was watching a video, and saw someone saying "goths all the way". Idk what to think, bt this subculture is the realest one I'd wanna be a part of. I had this feeling...and I wanna be a part of this (:

  • Thank you for putting this up I know now who I am I loved it i can't thank you enough

  • good explanation. thanks for posting.

  • Since goths read so much, why does the grammar here suck so much.

I would say it was a "good atempt" to get the average person to understand what goth really is, but in my opinion, it was really bad so I won't say that.

  • @GreeceOTOT If you go to the uploader's channel, it says she's from Hungary. She's obviously going to make some grammar mistakes if english isn't her first language.

  • I loved the images but the text kind of pissed me off. What story have the goths been dying to tell me all these years? I'm listening.

  • @Freddy3740 What the uploader is referring to is simply that every individual goth has their own reason for being what they are and nobody cares to listen, only criticize them for being different. I'm not going to explain mine in the comments of a video, but any goth you care to befriend would be more than happy to tell you theirs, so long as you listen.

They will ignore you if you just walk up and ask but if you make a friend, that goth wouldn't have a problem sharing.

  • Bunch of freaks and weirdo's as far as i am concerned

  • @infidel1978 clearly some1 who doesn't know anything about us Goths :)

  • @GothixZa I couldn't give a fuck you look like a bunch of scruffy cunts.Appearance and looking presentable goes a long way you lot look like cunts that have never seen a bath.Just a tip from me....... fucking sort it

  • @infidel1978 so.. becous we wear mostly black it means we don't take a bath and look like cunts...? Wow...

Tell me, wth is wrong with u man? Ever heard of being frendly? Maybe we do look like shit outside, but your shity on the inside!

  • what song is this ?

  • i am goth because in my past i was abused diagnosed with depression OCD, ADD,And ADHD

  • @Max1351o that is really sad

  • @gothgirl12346k thx i know but as i say keep going and you can visit my channel to hear my story your more then welcome :)

  • goths=emos=queers

  • @phantom1000A not even close to emos dumbass.

  • @phantom1000A Goth is in no way related to emos. Do your research before you ramble.

  • @AngelDust155

And Metal is in no way related to Goth. This video also fails.

  • @Kieraganion Yes it does

  • @AngelDust155 emos r posers they want to be punk anf goth get out of here u crying bich go die and make the world a better place fag

  • Asian wives waiting **busizz4me.info**

  • nice vid, gorgeous music, but very vague explanation. Don't try to explain sth. that has too much diffrent aspects and for everyone various... if someone tries to understand us he/she should talk to some and don't stick to vids like this they just promote stereotyped thinking in my opinion... despite all critique nice video with extraordinary beautyful pics ;)

  • epic video, really deep, really tries to send a message. we need more people like you.

  • very nice, i love the font youve used for the words.

  • I quite enjoyed that, and to many of the comments on here, who decides what is "official" Gothic music, and who decides what is "officially" a Gothic lifestyle??? Just because it arose out of a certain genre of music doesn't mean it has to confine itself to that. It evolves and grows. What Goth is perceived as by those who call themselves Goths today is described in the video.

  • @moongirl786 yeah its called doing it wrong

  • I love how there is no mention of any real Goth Bands, The Goth and Death Rock subcultures that real Goth is that have existed since the fifties with death rock, then Goth Rock branching out of the late seventies Horror Punk Scene. This is just a bunch of neo trendy bullshit.. Make another video when you can learn something. Kthnx

  • Wow that was beautiful. I'll add this to my cultural history play list.

  • there isnt much beauty in the torture/destruction/hell/hate from satin, im sorry

  • alot of ppl saying they worship the devil... can u answer.. why...?????????

  • id luv to hear a cool story but they dont talk to meh! and u say "they" like theyre some weird creature! "they" r us! WE r people!:)

  • Don;t forget before it was a fashion and a lifestyke. It was an old group of europeans that were called goth.

  • People that use ... more than once are goth.

  • Well, (for an offbeat comment) at least the typeface of the text for this vid is Goth(ic). I used to do a lot of this kind of Black Letter calligraphy, years back and lots of my school mates would have me do names and phrases for them. I had my own style in dark rich blues and deep blacks. When done convincingly it's has a quality similar to that of the apparel and cosmetics worn by the "Goths", in being striking, heavy, bold, somber, profound, and starkly dramatic.

  • i liked your video it was beautiful

  • If you are a goth in the UK like this comment. Just seeing how many of us are there!

  • This is a awesome :) many people are stereotypical about us goths, and I hope this opens some eyes

  • if you truely seek to know what goth is you must take an unexpected step. anti-depressants. not only do i now understand it better, but i no longer feel the need to express/enjoy death and lonelyness. too many people don't understand this.

  • @ginadab11 Um... Actually, if a person is in the depression state, unwillingly, they may need something to really on... I, as an example, started becoming suicidal, and I needed something to turn to (art), thus I found the gothic arts, And I understand it very well... even though I am still dealing with 'depression', and depression should not affect a persons learning on goth if they are truly wanting to know what it means. (i took no anti-depressants btw) and yes... I do laugh and smile.

  • part 2: But interesting enough, it was only to signify the "movement" as an artistic counter reaction to main-stream media. Nothing more. The legitimacy of the term "Goth" died ironically in the early 90s in the very place it had left to find sanctity, the club scene. It was eventually mopped away by the upcoming Industrial (yes they are separate) scene. If it IS used to day, it's simply out of desire to refer to a time period and music of over 20 years ago.

  • Or perhaps not... As the term was only coined up by journalists to label a sequence of bands that came about in the late 70s/ early 80s riding the Post Punk movement started by bands like "Joy Division" and "Echo And The Bunnyman". The first of such bands (but not only the first) was Bauhaus. A few of these band would go so far as to actually use the term itself. Such as Andy Sexgang.

  • those bastards worship satan and need to be burned alive

kill them once u see them

  • @aref169

Yeah, well maybe they do (Hell, I've know a lot of "Christians" that seem to worship the devil more than Jesus as demonstrated by their duplicity), but nonetheless, they are human beings and I think there still is a law against homicide. You may wanna consult you local government's penal code to see what it has to say about it before doing anything drastic (if you haven't yet). I've a notion I'm correct.

  • Love the song!

  • This is true, but for me I somewhat find it in silence.

  • hey i love the video i know what u r talking about, lets video respond each other im at war with fake goths that are desicrating us.

  • Nice video very nice. Music goes in there perfect too.

  • i truley love this vid... makes me think alot...i love how it expresses it

    ugh cnt think...so late...

  • Really like the heart symbol in the middle of the video :)

  • I'm going to sum this up for people who ask what a goth is:

    You're a POSER if:

    - You think music, fashion, black clothing, and makeup define the goth subculture. IT DOES NOT. (Goths have existed for millenniums.)

    - You act like you're in the cool crowd and cast anyone out you don't think deserves to be in it.

    You ARE goth if:

    - You have a dark soul and personality; you most likely express this outwardly in the way you present your self visually and your lifestyle.

    - It lasts your lifetime.

  • @GeneralHoohah once again, summed up better than anyone could. if someone says to you "i used to be goth" they werent. if you think your goth BECAUSE you listen to goth music and LOOK goth. your not. goth isnt punk or rock or EMO. its not defined simply by a style of music. people seem to confuse goth with other subcultures orbiting around a genre of music. goth orbits around a time period, a style of art/archetecture/literature AND music. not JUST music and clothes.

  • @goneforever14 I don't really think of it that way. I just think of it as the way someone is... who they are, their personality, the way their mind works, I don't think it orbits around anything at all really... at least nothing materialistic. I think it CAN influence things, but the subculture doesn't revolve around what it inspires... they're just byproducts of the types of people who influenced and created them.

  • @GeneralHoohah well yes my point was the goth is not a subculture so much that grew out of music......it somethign thats existed for centureys and just didnt have a name until a style was put to it (the branch off of punk "goth")

  • @goneforever14 They've existed a LOT longer than centuries... more like millenniums.

  • @GeneralHoohah that may be stretching it as such early gothic influences such as gothic novels or gothic architecture or other types of old literature are mere centuries old PERHAPS you could say 1000 years are so but not much more than that. the label itself however is merely a few decades old

  • @goneforever14 I'm not talking about literature and architecture lol. I'm talking about PEOPLE. People who had dark personalities, dark souls, people who expressed themselves in dark ways. Goths... they have existed for a very long time. And... gothic architecture wasn't created by goths. Goths may like it, but I'm pretty sure they didn't create it. I don't remember anything about that in my history studies. I would have noticed that. lol

  • @GeneralHoohah i never said GOTHS created gothic architecture. like i said, the label GOTH is only decades old and i wouldnt concider the earliest of these "dark souls" as you call them goths. GOTH was a label created for music and style, GOTHIC was a term for the oldest and original influences of GOTH today. sp perhaps we should call them "dark souls" instead of early goths, as that label is miselading. but yes, there have been unique and dark souls scince the beginning of time.

  • @GeneralHoohah or perhaps we shall call them "gothic" people

  • @GeneralHoohah

Uh huh. And again what is THAT? A dark soul and personality? Generalizations tend to make me tired and still feeling vague. Explain for us YT "idiots" what exactly you mean by a dark soul and personality that sticks with you until it's time to "kick off".

    ok. Let's try this.

What is the ESSENCE of being Goth in terms of It's worldview, it's ethos, and values. I guess I'm craving more sophisticated answer. The one's you've provided just don't cut the mustard.

  • im a goth and i kill dogs and eat them!! im serious anybody

  • beautiful song, beautiful pics... and i loved the message this video gives!! :)

  • I have love for the darker ones. but i don't really know what i am. only my friends don't treat me like a freak. And i will allways love them for that cause i allways have someone to run to in my darkest hour that won't laugh at my troubles

  • This stuff is good. I am, and I am proud to say I am. Screw what every one else says, we r different, and if you don't like it, well than screw you

  • so....they find beauty in sadness.....and does that make them happy??

  • @djsoundmeizter comfortable to be clear

  • @djsoundmeizter Yes, it DOES!

  • ._.

  • why did you make goths like a differnt spicies the song is great i like it the pics are good goth is a way of thinking music not ike half the stuff you said

  • isn't just a music scene?

  • the typos ruin it

  • Goth is subculture, if i`m goth that doesnt mean that i am depressed! Gothic is style, music and way to think.

  • @LaurisBlade no not really being goth i my mind is your way of mind being

  • i Like The Story of this video...

  • HOLY SHIT I HAD MY HEADPHONES IN AND THE AIR THINGY IN THE BEGINNING WAS HAPEPNING I WAS LIKE WHAT THE HELL I had no idea my headphones were in LMFAO

  • stereotype from hell is more like it. WE AREN'T DEPRESSED WE DON'T FEEL LONELY WE HAVE OUR FRIENDS AND IF THERE LONERS SO BE IT DON'T LABLE FROM `1 FUCKIN PERSON its a subculture not an obsessive disorder or a depression you idiot

  • A mall goth video created for poseurs by a poseur

  • This vid is sooo true cause I am but nobody gives us a chance even sometimes our parents but I'm proud to be a goth and I prolly have few frenns but their my world:)

  • I'm going through the phase, the small taste of something more...and even if i have felt these feelings for a very long time, this society doesn't except it enouph for me to fully express it, which is why it's most likely just the phase

  • Goth is where u are not ashamed to be different and dont try to be popular. And the stuff in the vid. But goth can be a style, music etc etc It is stereotyped today. Such as if someone wears black they are a goth? Or if someone likes metal or likes black? But the worst meaning I heard was that it was a religion???? Goths are awesome and are can be much more friendlyer than people that arent! But goth can be exagerated.

  • I guess you can call me an old goth:) I don't wear makup because I have an allergy to the oils. But I always wear black clothing! And leather! I HATE bright clothes! Never wear them ever. Everything including my laptop and itouch is black:)

  • I'm not goth, because I'm attracted to bright colors. But growing up, most of my friends were goth. They were nicer then any of my other friends. I do remember that. I'm sort of weird; not a goth, but in a class of my own, I guess you would say. Goths were the only ones who made me feel it was ok to be different.

  • This is a metal band They started out as goth but this is a band thats on the border line of goth and metal... This kinda of genre is not accepted in the goth subculture because most goths hate metal so it's sold over to metal.

  • But I thought goths were supposed to be generally accepting of everything because society wasn't accepting of them.

Isn't that the ideology behind the goth culture?

  • Goth is all about acceptance, but when it comes to music, their are certain genres that cross the border. Goth is simply a music genre, You can still be a fan to it even if you like bright colors. Their is really no way to tell who is truly a fan of goth music and who's not....

Nowadays goth is used as a stereotype to label people who wear all black.

Goth bands are Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, Christian Death, Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Nosfertu, Switchblade Symphony...

  • i like thats wrong

  • I swear, I'm so sick of all the commenters being fucking goth girls just looking for online a sex chat or a date. you are all clearly horny old men, or else posers.

    jeez, every vid.

  • I disagree totally. I don't identify as Gothic, but my significant other does, and as a result we've had conversations as to what the Gothic idealisms are and what the term means.

Depression and angst have nothing to do with being Gothic. Yes your average goth will be an individual with love for the dark and macabre, but the Gothic ideal is similar to punk in the sense that their subculture seeks to segregate themselves from the ignorance and poor choices of common social norms. That's all.

  • @AutonomousArt I also feel thee need to note that they're more driven by their choice in music than expressing themselves to others--your average goth does not care to tell you what they think and does not care what you think of them.

  • id have to agree with you,

though, "goth" is becoming more and more blured as a term. alot of pre-teens use "goth" as their choice in rebelion. as they go through their short rebelious phase, that create the common-place image that the majority comes to understand "goth" as, never truly grasping the reality of the subculture.

  • @AutonomousArt If I was trying to segregate myself from ignorance and poor choices I sure as heck wouldn't be wearing such impractical clothing.

  • Their are, you just need to know were to look ; )

  • i wish there would be more gothic videos on youtube and more guys that want to date a gothic girl

  • Personly I am goth I love the color black listen to the heavy music and go to old or somwhere most don't like to bad I am still called un emo Im not though I have nothing against then I know how they feel sometimes

  • What the hell is this?

    What "choice?"

    I have a choice?

To "understand" people who wear black, sit in graveyards (supposedly) and write doggerel (poorly written) poetry?

I don't think "they're" waiting for anyone to listen to them. They dress the way they want to dress and don't care what anyone else has to say about it.

    So who cares.

And "goth" isn't a feeling, dammit.

Sad, happy, excited; those are all feelings.

Not goth. Not punk. Not emo.

    Dear Lord.

  • what ever

  • ROZZ WILLIAMS BITCH! <3

  • Ah if only there was more gothic wemen out there cuz i'm alone

  • My goths...my beautiful goths. There is beautey in this world...and it will become ever so more beautiful..join with I..join the movement that will rise..and raise the beautey out of the soil and into the sky. Let yourselves in to the world I will create...I need your help. New Canada will welcome you more than all.

  • hellooo wats this song called please tell me

  • Asrai - Whisper

  • wats this song called

  • i am goth myself so i like the video any single gothic guys out there

  • this actually explains what being a goth is very well. i personally am one. sadly, it's very hard to find beauty in anything anymore. i think this is because those that are above everyone has taken it all. i DO however find much beauty in older things; like statues, graves, etc.

  • i am so lonely atm any goth lovers out there then msg

  • i fit into alot of the "stereotype" parts of being a "goth", i like the darker things in life, im into " heavier music" ( dont ys just love quote marks) and i like the colour black. all that bullsiht stuff of being a goth, except i dont dress that way, i just wear whatever is comfy, i really dont care what it looks like, so what the hell "click" do i "fit" into. ha

  • People WHO ALREADY EXISTED created the culture and the music... the music didn't just magically appear one day and start creating goths. It evolved overtime as goths tried to express themselves.

And news flash, real goths who aren't just going through a stage and are goths their entire lives listen to more than just goth music. Some of them listen to just about everything.

A real goth has a goth soul, its their personality. Has nothing to do with the way they dress or music.

    MORON.

  • Who do you think has a real claim to being a goth?

Someone who decides one day to label themself as a goth, puts on a fashion show every day and tries to fit in with other goths... then decides to one day not to be a goth.

    OR

Someone who has always had a dark personality and is a goth at heart, intelligent, mature, doesn't label them self, doesn't give a shit about fitting in, loves black, etc?

I'd have to say the second one... I'm one of those people, and I FUCKING hate most goths. POSERS!

  • Eh, I don't self-identify as Goth, but I've had people tell me I'm one of the Gothiest person they've met. O_o

I wear what I want, listen to music I enjoy.

I know what you mean. Most Goths I've met are as superficial, bitchy and irritating as the "close-minded" people they've chosen to antagonize.

I'm pretty fucking boring. I've got no piercings. Most of the stuff I wear is 2nd-hand or shit from Wal-Mart. Fuck it. I'm poor and it's a recession.

I also have a dead body in my basement.

  • please guys, i am at the age where a lot of kids start being goth/ emo but i was raised right and my family cares about my life and i do too. why be so sad and dark when i'm angry or sad i go fishing or play sports. i try not to hate people it just saddens me that this trend is growing. why can't people be normal. don't answer that.

  • A true goth sees the world for what it really is; human beings and the judgmental hypocritical ignorant hateful society they create. We see the cruelty and violence human beings are capable of and act on every day.

We see "normies" as sheep. They don't mind living in ignorance, being herded and told what to think.

The real reality is that human beings cause pain and suffering every day, and not just to each other but everything they effect.

    We also hope for change

    Is ignorance bliss Bassin?
