Hey dipshit...you didn't say a word about Ron being extreme in your post.
You said he was Liberal. Yes, he advocates extreme measures, but they only appear extreme because we are so used to a leviathan of a government that we are so sure is going to take care of us. He is going to phase out the UNCONSTITUTIONAL WELFARE PROGRAMS.
Take care of the people on them and let the rest of us choose. How anyone cannot support this is beyond me. You talk a lot of shit for someone who doesn't have a clue.
Hypocrites, so many of of you. You claim to believe one thing and yet shoot yourselves in the foot when a Sarah Palin or Ron Paul agrees with you. You claim to think for yourselves, yet regurgitate the media bias repeated ad nausea. Reagan was criticized for saying the same old same old, yet won (so they shot him!). Ron Paul can win if we believe and share constantly why he should win. We have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot.
Ron Paul constantly and consistently describes how to create jobs, which he understands that creating an environment for small businesses to thrive will create jobs. He always let's us know that our government is forcing jobs out of the country. He also educates on the role of government including the office of President, who's role is not to create jobs, but to let jobs be created.

Ron Paul talks a great talk as did Obama in 08. However, once he got in to office it would be the same thing as every other republican president. A total shit storm while blaming everyone else but themselves.
@countrysamurai Riiiight, like when he said that health care isn't a right and that no one is ever turned down in the U.S. Does he not realize that while no one is turned down it costs more money for someone to walk in to the E.R. than if we had universal health care? Give me a break, he says he will get the troops home, bull shit. It won't happen, if it were that easy they would be out. Not to worry, he won't win the primary and has 0 chance of becoming president. Better track record?
@kr4yzi32k no it costs more money now because america is in debt and our government tries to squeeze as much money out of people as they can so they can live there high class lifestyles. Back in the day it was cheaper to get in the ER. No offense man but hes a doctor he has more knowledge about the health care system than u.
@GrampysGoneWild So ask him to explain why every other industrialized country on the planet has universal health care and why we are the only country to go bankrupt because of our medical spending? Insurance companies and oil companies have republicans in their back pocket. Not saying Ron Paul is one of them, but he has to offer and real solution to health care. Again, his own party will make sure he doesn't get the nomination. They want another George Bush in Mitt Romney.
@countrysamurai Yea, I did type this before doing my homework. After doing my homework I realize that he is more liberal than Obama and he won't even get his parties' nomination. It will be Obama vs Romney.
@kr4yzi32k To even remotely make a statement like that...shows me clearly that you don't know anything about Dr. Paul and you don't have a clue as to what the hell you are talking about.
@countrysamurai The guy wants to get rid of 5 government agencies and get rid of SSI, Medicare and Medicaid. That isn't extreme? That's not more radical than Obama? Get your head out of his ass for one second and open your eyes.
@kr4yzi32k No one looked into Obama's voting record; that's the problem. Obama voted very similarly to John McCain. Ron Paul's voting record is unmatched in politics today.
@ignbtd Neither do I...but she tries to align herself with Ron and thereby in a roundabout way...saying she has Libertarian ideals....I was making the point that she is not...no matter what she says.
Palin has already proven her ability to govern according to her principles. Ron Paul talks a BIG talk... but WALKS a different path. He's as good at getting pork and earmarks for his own district as any Demonicrat! BUT... he is the 145th most conservative Republican! That's something in his favor!
Don't bash Palin, she's hardly ever been able to show the people who she really is! She has been very complimentary of Dr. Paul, ever since they both appeared at the "Tea Party Summit" on Freedom Watch. Remember, Palin's husband was with the AK Independence Party- if they view the feds as antagonistic, they are not unlike many of us! She could be a great bridge between Ron Paul and mainstream conservatives- and I guarantee she would be much better than squishy Boehner-type RINOs
>_> Suuure. She's quite the libertarian there. Let's see, there's the fact McCain picked her as VP, the fact Kristol picked her out, the fact she supports the wars, she supports everything Israel does, the advisers she picks want to invade Iran, how is she different from Bush conservatives again? That's right. Iraq isn't the center stage anymore: Israel is.
There's always going to be posers who act like they're something they're not. They can hijack a movement, and they are.
Yeah, and I'm sure Mitt Romney would agree that HE's just like Ron Paul too. Nice try, you sparkle-toothed puppets, we aren't listening to you anymore.
She's a cultural chameleon. A pretty face/mom figure/neocon designed to lose to Obama in 2012. American people shouldn't be partisan, we should leave that crap for the big wigs on capitol hill. I stress everyone to be independent and vote for who you think will best benefit our nation. This isn't the NFL, its our future.
Well why would you like Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck in the first place? Glenn Beck is not a libertarian i dont care what he says, because libertarians dont put religion in government in fact they hate that shit, its unconstitutional. Sarah Palin is a neo con who doesnt know what the fuck she is talking about. So i am glad you turned to Ron Paul, he is one of the best politicians out there. Possibly the best.
I used to get excited about her. There's something about her that I still like, definitely not her status quo interventionist politics, but her star has really faded for me. I'm all Ron Paul. Love this man!
concerned liberty minded movements are growing. I would hope the republican party would start listen more to the grass roots and to the liberty wing rather than just the neo-conservatives portion, they should expand the base. For the most important big balanced budget issues they agree, its the matter of personal liberty that the party should learn to incorporate. Why tax people and decide for them, or have centralized chosen handouts by whoever lobbies the hardest? Go Campaign for Liberty!
Rand Paul can't be a true Libertarian if he's aligning himself with Palin who promotes starting a new war with Iran. As well as the fact that Palin prides herself in the knowledge that she made big business (the Oil Industry) give everyone in Alaska a welfare check. His dad Ron Paul would have never agreed with either. And if that is not enough she's endorsing big government politicians like John McCain and Rick Perry It makes me wonder if Rand Paul and Palin are just shields for the GOP?

There's a lot that Paul doesn't talk about. He has many skeletons in his closet. I used to love Paul, but am disliking him more and more now that he's a FOX News darling, and is getting cozy with Michele Bachmann and other right-wing crazies. Seems Mr. Constitution isn't as Constitutional as we thought.
What do you do just sit there and make shit up. If the only way you can make your position sound in the least bit palatable is to make up lies, what does that say about your position?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
There's a lot about Paul that you don't see behind his campaign for liberty and freedom is popular speeched. I read the bills he wrote, and he wrote a bill calling for a federal ban on abortion, identical to Palin. He also is a creationist, a homophobe, and a proud climate change denier just like Palin. He votes no against bills preventing cruelty to animals, like Palin. I read his voting record and he DID vote for the Patriot Act when it was in committee, then voted no in the House.
Excuse me bassman588 but where do you come up with this crap? Ron Paul broke with his party by voting against the Patriot Act in 2001; he also voted against its 2005 enactment. He has said, "Everything we have done in response to the 9-11 attacks, from the Patriot Act to the war in Iraq, has reduced freedom in America." He has spoken against federal use of torture and what he sees as "an abuse of executive authority during the Iraq War to override Constitutional rights"
picking palin was a terrible choice. ron paul is Americas last hope. we are on the brink of collapse and slavery. we are brainwashed and manipulated everyday by the govt. slavery is next. and i pray im completely wrong.
here's something you don't know. ron paul actually likes palin. he likes her views and policies and where she comes from. had he been the nominee, she would have been his running mate. that says a lot about who mr. constitution really is.
bassman5588 - Actually, it speaks the truth about who Sarah Palin really is. Not everyone trust those people with their well orchestrated plan to re-define and destroy her. LIbertarians really don't give a shit what some ones religious views are. That's their business. We care only that they are libertarian, and Sarah Palin is.
I don't give a fuck if she praises RP or not or if she does so before or after she was the VP pick. She doesn't understand RP's platform and she is very much a part of the "machine."
Drew (and others), she said this WAY before being picked for the VP slot! This was back in FEBRUARY, not even McCain was close to sealing up the nomination! This is when I first found out about her, looking for politicians who had given praise to Dr. Paul.
Saying that she said this just to get votes is absolutely ridiculous, and the Republican elite would probably tell her that giving Ron Paul praise would be the WRONG way to get votes, anyway!! So I do believe she was genuine with this.
My thoughts exactly KevCal: McCain is in desperate need for Ron Paul voters. Almost everything McCain stands for is very much the opposite of what Ron Paul stands for. A female vice-president to attract Clinton voters isn't going to change anything to the policy of McCain. The GOP underestimates the critical judgement of Ron Paul voters: they didn't vote Ron Paul for some shallow reasons in the first place; so neither will they now board the McCain-train for a VP who says "I like Ron Paul"
Shes truthful? She is telling people John McCain is an upstanding citizen, yet McCain was one of the key members of the Keating Five savings and loan scandal of the 1980s. Come on people - WAKE UP!
Watch out, I think getting her for VP was just a more to get some fire under McCain's dead campaign and win some votes. She seems real but they probably will not let her actually do anything of importance in the White House. McCain is WAY too far evil to let anybody who even looks like they like Ron Paul in.
i wouldn't necessarily call that a plug for RP, but more an attempt to play to his supporters. At least his name was mentioned (and not censored as usual).
RE: Palin,...well I don't know what to think about her yet. First impression? Her running as McCain's VP is enough for me not to like her. Anyone that shares his view on foreign policy is no good in my book.
More evidence that the Reptile party does NOT want to win. They want the Dems to take the heat as they clean up the massive mess the Reptiles have created over the last 8 years. This woman is clearly a moron. No one in their right mind would want her to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.
i hate mccain but i kinda like her. the best thing for us to do is to have someone in there that has to follow the constitution because the quote on quote experience is selling us out. government is easy if we stay within the rules. even you or i could do it.

The GOP underestimates the critical judgement of Ron Paul voters: they didn't vote Ron Paul for some shallow reasons in the first place; so neither will they now board the McCain-train for a VP who says "I like Ron Paul"

ron paul likes her very much. i bet he voted for the ticket purely for her.

How bad is McCain? Even fellow Republican Ron Paul refuses to endorse him!

You can put lipstick on John McCain but he is still Goerge Bush.

Shes truthful? She is telling people John McCain is an upstanding citizen, yet McCain was one of the key members of the Keating Five savings and loan scandal of the 1980s. Come on people - WAKE UP!

Means she is truthful

Watch out, I think getting her for VP was just a more to get some fire under McCain's dead campaign and win some votes. She seems real but they probably will not let her actually do anything of importance in the White House. McCain is WAY too far evil to let anybody who even looks like they like Ron Paul in.

Write in Ron Paul
quote--she said it
"He's a GOOD GUY!!"

i wouldn't necessarily call that a plug for RP, but more an attempt to play to his supporters.

No one in their right mind would want her to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

i hate mccain but i kinda like her. the best thing for us to do is to have someone in there that has to follow the constitution because the quote on quote experience is selling us out. government is easy if we stay within the rules. even you or i could do it.
ibo1978 3 years ago
follow the constitution? she's tried to get books banned.

Isn't it?
bobbydibobby 3 years ago
Lets just say that the choice probably didn't help. Is it a soap opera or not? I guess you'll just have to tune in next week and see ;)
