So many talkers, probably just silly people waiting for the headline act that night and they never even heard of this great musician; gawd, like throwing out the good spicy gumbo because you want a twinky for desert
Taj.... Wow... I cannot listen to this man enough. As for the morons talking, I agree. But then, I saw a drunk yelling AT Lyle Lovett to play "Pony on a Boat". Lyle put her in her place in such a funny way. But Taj, you have given me more musical influence than I can possibly explain! SHANE
Like this version. Very nice. He has mellowed it out. I would have loved to have seen this. The last time I saw him he was staying close to the studio versions...it was a long time ago. I can't believe these people are missing this great performance. Thanks so much for posting!
About forty years ago he preformed in Duncan BC. He wore a banana yellow suit hat shoes. It was the coolest experience I've ever had. We were in the front row.
When I was a kid in a small town in northern Canada,this song by Taj made the local top ten.I guess in those days,DJ's in the boonies could play what they liked.White kids and Cree Indian kids loved it.They played at teen dances.It was my introduction to emotion and honesty in music.And girls.
grew up on Taj Mahal, a great soul, a great activist, and great musician...someone everyone should try to emulate...his songs always make me cry out of happiness
I just love this song, as done by Taj... thanks!

Corrina, I don't know who you are but you must be a FINE woman to inspire two blues songs so widely played. I LOVE Taj's version best.

@EnsoBlues
Yes. Capo on the first. Therefore in B flat. Kinda unusual key.
