On the subject of her art, It's simple, her paintings' surfaces' are not detailed at all, and her colours are really... basic; Her strongest area is value, Her contours are also well-made, but better than that... I see that her art is not special at all.

I was overcome by feelings of ending my own life. I was raised going to church but I never really knew God. I thought I did. But I did not know Him. I knew religion.

I know from my esoteric research and studies, that Jesus Christ is the oldest soul ever created, and he is very powerful, trillions of years old, and is involved with almost all of God's creation since the beginning.

@jkmoto46 No. The world spins, creating light and dark on different sides at other times. As humans, we have adopted this repetitive large scale occurrence into our cycles.. We wake by the sun and sleep by the moon- but this is far from the case for the rest of earths creatures. The sun is so powerful that it's light spreads all over the solar system, lighting up the moon constantly. There is never a full dark in the world, our star and others illuminate. Yes, this can happen by itself.

For being such a young individual to describe & draw in such details in the eyes proves that she has a special relationship with God that's unobstructed by foreign influences.

2) This girl has a phenomenal gift and possessing it may be for her an intensely numinous feeling, but her misattribution of her abilities to Jesus-- instead of to the immense potential of the human brain, especially in genetic fluke prodigies like herself-- is just a classic case of projecting what one doesnt understand onto the nearest available belief system (Christianity).
3) A shame really that even humanitys brightest lights can act so dim; in her defense, the part of the prefrontal cortex required for critical thinking (including re-evaluating your own childhood assumptions) isn't fully developed until late adolescence. Maybe in adulthood shell realize that her talent is actually a triumph of neural-evolutionary development, and shell get around to painting some nice portraits of Darwin instead! Cant wait!

I certainly accept that someone can have an intense feeling of divine inspiration, a numinous feeling in the brain that some 'higher power' is guiding them. What I lament is that people with a mystical experience almost invariably turn to a certain man-made belief system to make sense of and express it. Why can't they be separate? I believe in a god per-se, HOWEVER I don't believe in a god that punishes people for doing "bad" or rewarding people who do "good". Why would a god punish people for anything, including murder? If people knew better, they would do better. PERIOD! If god appeared right in front of you, and told you heaven/hell exist, you would be in church the next sunday praying your brains out and helping everyone in sight.

I know from my esoteric research and studies, that Jesus Christ is the oldest soul ever created, and he is very powerful, trillions of years old, and is involved with almost all of God's creation since the beginning.
However, he still is a creation.

@jkmoto46 Stop saying my mind isn't open. It's the most ridiculous argument I've ever heard. While science has been forced to open it's mind countless times again and again, and has actually made an effort to truly understand the universe, religion has just sat, unmoving in the same place for thousands of years. And every time someone tries to suggest another point of view they blow up and slander them and/or kill them.

@jkmoto46 Secondly, even if there is any evidence, such as this incredibly talented young girl, to suggest god is fact, science still outweighs it evidentially. Believing something on the basis it is evidentially more likely to be the case does not make me close minded, it makes me practical.
And practical does not mean scientific fan-boy, it isn't as simple as you believe in god or your a maths major who shuns the right side of their brain completely.

@NPC919 I do agree with you when you say "science is open minded", but only in some areas. Science reserves the right to change what they believe at any given time when they find what they consider evidence that points in a different direction. I also do believe that "religion has just sat." However I am not talking about religion or a religious organization, I am speaking of The living God. Which Is Jesus. He hated religion as you & I also do as you can see with His dealings with the Pharisees

Were they wrong in ancient biblical times when they said the earth was flat & if u walked too far u may fall of the earth? Science also said the earth sat on the back of an animal...They now know the earth to be round which is the truth, so how then do u explain how Isaiah said the earth was a circle before science even fathomed the idea? If Jesus is right, and you trusted the brilliant scientific men, then you died and the scientists changed their very brilliant mind to agree with account of hundreds of people in the bible would you be upset that you lost your eternity for trusting science instead God? The fact that the bible remains without being disproven for this long speaks volumes for its authenticity & accuracy.

@jkmoto46 This is the fear. This is when religion tries to regain control via fear. The "well what if you're wrong" move. I do not believe in, nor respect this. It's a cheap shot used to keep society in check for generations.
Arguably I would be upset, but I put my faith in them none the less on the basis they simply have more points than god.
The bible is one of those things that can't be proven nor can it be disproven. How can you disprove or prove something that is neither here nor there?

And again, I am not speaking of religion, But of the Living God and creator of life. (The fear factor) If I told you, Do not set sail in the sea today because a very dangerous storm is coming and you will surely die, would you tell me to quit using the fear factor to keep u from doing as u please? You are making eternal decisions with temporary scientific knowledge.

This depends, because I would believe you if the skies were cloudy, if there was thunder and if the weather forcast had warned me. Is that so wrong to look for these rational reasons? I do not see enough reasons to take your word for it.
There is nothing to suggest to me that my eternity is on the line here. If it really mattered so much, God should make FAR bolder steps to warning me than a talented kid here and there.

I also totally understand your carefulness to put your trust in something as big as Faith in God is. I would never ask someone to put their trust in something blindly. There is many things science cant understand nor explain but you do blindly trust their answers as we all have.

Then God turns the light of the sun off so that we may sleep sound and be rested but just in case you may have to go out for something in the middle of the night he leaves the night light of the moon on so that you may see and not stumble. can all this just happen so perfectly by itself?

When u see the sun fade behind the clouds life saving H2O soon falls & life is preseved. But we contaminate the water with the filth of our waste & the things we use water 4. So it just so happens that water goes back up to the heavens leaving behind all contaminants & falling down again clean..The perfect explosion or design?

@jkmoto46 No. The world spins, creating light and dark on different sides at other times. As humans, we have adopted this repetitive large scale occurrence into our cycles.. We wake by the sun and sleep by the moon- but this is far from the case for the rest of earths creatures. The sun is so powerful that it's light spreads all over the solar system, lighting up the moon constantly. There is never a full dark in the world, our star and others illuminate. Yes, this can happen by itself.

And even so, the "perfect explosion" didn't create all of this. indirectly perhaps, but just because everything has happened and you think it's so nice does not have anything to do with perfection, or intelligent creation. Things have been around a lot longer than 7 days, and one event leads to another, and so on. Do you think the universe,and everything for the matter, leans towards organizing itself or being chaotic?

Only the creater can raise the dead, make the lame walk, the blind see, the deaf here, calm the storm, which is exactly what he did in my soul. I dont just believe in a God, I know Him. No 1 could've fixed me but God. I was a destroyed soul. Can u explain why I was so desperate 1 night I read the bible & ask Him to fix me & I heard Him speak audibly in a vision. I was fixed that night.

You can tell by her voice she speaks from her heart & those kind of voice speaks directly into your core being. There's gentleness & softness in her voice that shows God's grace & compassion for humankind. She mentioned in her drawing that she particularly loves drawing the eyes because the eyes tell the whole story. For being such a young individual to describe & draw in such details in the eyes proves that she has a special relationship with God that's unobstructed by foreign influences.

If this girl had been born in Ramanujans hometown shed be going on about Krishna. When we do things with our brains or bodies that may feel or appear to be superhuman, its tempting to look to the supernatural, but it's an easy-out that snubs our human potential.

Sounds like she's rocking your boat a little there cosmodeus. Interesting that her "genetic fluke" brain gave her words she hadn't heard before, then fully composed poetry, a face that talked to her with detailed conversations about heaven, plans for earth, and a mission at 4 years old to help children around the world, and become a professional artist by age 7. The Hour of Power interview said she prayed all day one day for a Jesus model, and a 7 ft. carpenter came to her door the next day!

2) This girl has a phenomenal gift and possessing it may be for her an intensely numinous feeling, but her misattribution of her abilities to Jesus-- instead of to the immense potential of the human brain, especially in genetic fluke prodigies like herself-- is just a classic case of projecting what one doesnt understand onto the nearest available belief system (Christianity).

3) A shame really that even humanitys brightest lights can act so dim; in her defense, the part of the prefrontal cortex required for critical thinking (including re-evaluating your own childhood assumptions) isn't fully developed until late adolescence. Maybe in adulthood shell realize that her talent is actually a triumph of neural-evolutionary development, and shell get around to painting some nice portraits of Darwin instead! Cant wait!

if she says she gets these visions that she paints from God or some higher being why cant you just accept that. And even when you look at the paintings you can immediately sense that they are from some sort of higher spiritual source.

I certainly accept that someone can have an intense feeling of divine inspiration, a numinous feeling in the brain that some 'higher power' is guiding them. What I lament is that people with a mystical experience almost invariably turn to a certain man-made belief system to make sense of and express it. Why can't they be separate? For an excellent discussion of this I recommend watching on YouTube "The Four Horsemen HD Hour 1 of 2" specifically from the 9 to 14 minute mark and at 21:30.

Which just so happens 2 be set at the perfect distance ( Billions of miles) 2 create the environment that allows life to flourish? Humm... Or Isnt it odd that when it is time for rest , at the end of our day, that God turns the lights off, so we may sleep..

Or as we all need H20 2 live, poop in it, pee in it, wash r pits with it, but it dosnt stay dirty. There is this thing called evaporation that takes r H2O 2 the sky & leaves behind the filth we used it 2 clean away, & it doesnt stay in the sky, it falls back down & it is new H2O again. when u get time, ask ur frontal cortex if this is all by chance or is that by design?

But can you explain how you have to teach a child to tell the truth yet you do not have to teach them to lie? Can you explain why a child is scared of monsters as a child yet none exist? Althought I don't share the same perception as must do of God, I refuse to be close minded. to deny the existance of a magnificent force that guides the flow.
although certain events and in someways religions have put me on the verge of total disbelieve,sparks of hope like akiane happen, reminding me that I can't just put a label on things or me: "I am not religious, I am not an atheist", I am just a simple student in this vast universe who have yet to figure the most simple lesson.

I believe in a god per-se, HOWEVER I don't believe in a god that punishes people for doing "bad" or rewarding people who do "good". Why would a god punish people for anything, including murder? If people knew better, they would do better. PERIOD! If god appeared right in front of you, and told you heaven/hell exist, you would be in church the next sunday praying your brains out and helping everyone in sight.
On a side note: This girl seems egotistical. But ignorance comes with youth.

This girl is amazing. I'm just dissapointed that she thinks there's an invisible being governing her life. That thing that she hears that tells her things is called a conscience. In fact replace god with the phrase "my conscience" and you'll find something truely beautiful and somebody who really loves herself, which to me is very inspiring.

i really never understood why Christains usually assume that if you dont believe in their god that you're unhappy. Actually i almost feel insulted by it, because i'm naturaly perfect and perfectly happy.
Also if god was such a great person, being, what ever he is, wouldn't he want me to be happy with or without him?
I also thought that hearing voices from imaginary beings made you crazy, and the real-er you made them the crazier you were. i guess it's different when it's called god.
