Yep. Depth of pond reduced from 7 feet to 4 feet but filter depth stayed the same at 6 feet, thus increasing filter percentage of entire volume. Pond footprint remains exactly the same. Pond tonnage has been reduced from 80 tons to 50 tons.

The sound you hear is not from the pumps. It's the sound of water falling at the bakki shower. :-)
