I have a few concerns with this one, firstly how are you going to get that big battery pack to fit into your controller? Before you answer that firstly understand there is a board in that pack with microchips and that button(along with the batteries). The second question i have is why would you not just take the additional time to solder to your board(this can be done quiet easily and there are several safe points on the board).

I actuall did my controller but i made my internal. I connected red LEDs into any location, twisted the wires, no solder, easier, and connect positive with a 47 ohm resistor and then to the direct power source.
