1. it's out of tune. I still need to learn well to listen to that detail.

2. Indeed, JC plays it with a pick, and it will affect the sound. But i hate playing with picks. Getting the roughness of the strings on the fingertips it's the best, no matter how much they hurt.

3. Justin's bass uses .45 caliber strings. Mine are .50

I think everyone got the hint by the last million comments which only stated the tune problem. Read the info on it y'all. "Filmed right after LEARNING the song" meaning, by common sense, "I know it ain't perfect." Plus, he has a webcam attached to the guitar which doesn't make it magically easier to play. If you give constructive critism, say something actually USEFUL

Using a pick doesn't seem to have debilitated Justin Chancellor or TOOL, in fact, they are obviously doing something right. Where are the vids of you playing bass with your fingers? There are excellent bass players that use picks and the same goes for playing with fingers.
