I saw her play a gig in edinburgh and she had 3 guitars all in different tunings so she didn't have to spend time tuning them down. I'm pretty sure this song is played in blues tuning (from bottom string DADFAD) as it was the same guitar she used for all her other songs in this tuning.
i seriously cannot for the life of me figure out what her guitar is tuned to....something envolving D_D_ _ _......and thats all i have...if anyone can help, then please let me know :D
Well you DO have the tuning correct (i even asked Laura when i saw her last, so im sure of it) (and yes, I do admit that my previous suggestion was incorrect, yet very close), but "What He Wrote" is definitely DADFAD which is the same as "Hope in the Air"

i think it's DA#GDGD with then a capo on 5th.
it's the same tuning as 'What He Wrote'.

Yea it does sound similar, but I am quite possitive that "What He Wrote" is in DADFAD.
At least, I play it in that and it sounds pretty spot on to me.

Oh its tuned down sweetie! It's low to high. So instead of standard (EADGBE) take the G and tune it down to F :)

i don't think this has a title. she played it in cardiff and said it was a very new song that isn't gonna make it onto the album.
