i dont know why ppl always get a hard-on for the 1st pick overall...need i remind you that kwame brown was a former 1st pick...and the legend known as Michael Jordan was the "3rd" pick...then there is another legend by the name of kobe bryant....he wasnt the 1st pick overall....im not sayin that the 1st pick is bad...im jus sayin that it guarantees nothing...

Hakeem was the first pick, and that turned out ok. But you're right, the first pick over all isn't guranteed success. The jury is still out on Rose, but he looks good. The three before him have not panned out yet, but Oden may look promising. Howard, James and Yao are stars. Olawakandi, and Kwame Brown suck. Kenyon Martin isn't a "star" but is defintely not a bust. I guess you can say the same about Elton Brand. Duncan, and Iverson were pretty good.
