Just by the how these "critics" reviewed Daybreakers you would have assumed it scored in the 20's, but instead, it scored a respectable 65% on the Tomatometer. The show needs to do a better job in balancing reactions that match how the real critics responded to the movie.

Which I think is good because no matter who you are, its just a opinion and its good to see a little contrast of ideas to back up your disagreement. For example they didnt like Sherlock Holmes, yet I loved it. But ya know you win some you lose some.

I'm surprised they didn't mention one reason Daybreakers was probabely so gorey - the Spierig brothers are both visual effect guys. I thought it listed them as doing writing, directing and effect supervising for this in the opening credits, but iMDB only lists that as the undead.

Either way, I thought it was tame on the gore issue taking that into consideration

You know, I loved the cinderella scene in Inglourious Basterds with Diane Kruger, Christoph Waltz, and a high heeled shoe. That was a pretty awesome scene.

Also, about leap year, which looks really stupid, it reminds me of my favorite movie of all time, In Bruges, but the other way around. Instead of Amy Adams hating rural ireland, Colin Farrell hates the most well preserved medieval town in Belgium, if you've seen Leap Year, and need a movie to wipe the taste of it away, In Bruges in the one.

You want to have an intervention for Tarantino, how about his habit of introducing characters that seem important & immediately killing them. It was a fun twist in Pulp Fiction but I was unimpressed by Dusk till Dawn that Savini died after hinting he was an awesome vampire hunter, annoyed when the entire cast of Death Proof died & furious when Hicox died during Basterds. You didn't surprise me Quentin, couldn't you edit him out? That movie was 153min & I had to pee! You're inhuman I tell you!

This just goes to show you how idiotic people are. "This is the furthest Michael Cera's ever been from playing himself" or some bullshit like that. And? It wasn't very far. It takes more than a change of wardrobe and dialogue to make an actual character distinctive. Cera as "Francois" was essentially Cera spouting bad boy lines with the same monotone, awkward delivery he always gives, causing it to appear like a sarcastic Cera.

I liked "Daybreakers" a lot more than I thought I would. The acting wasn't great, but the plot and the concept were enough for me.

By the way, the lack of that guy from "The Hurt Locker" on the badass list in unforgivable, mostly because he has one of the more awesome lines in movie history when he takes off his suit to defuse a car bomb:
