Aww. Right by it. Dang. That would be hard. Very hard. :(
Hopefully someone will load the last episode on here (I sadly have no idea how to. But, I'm sure someone will) and you can watch it when you get where you are going. Yet, it's really not the same. :(
Thank you for letting me use the opening on the message board. I'm sure some haven't seen it yet and it's great.
Hey Carmaker. Would you mind if I posted this on the OLTL Tribute thread on Soap Opera Network if I put a disclaimer that it is your's? It's awesome. :)
@weareclouds Sure, thanks for asking. My birthday is on Friday, so it's quite depressing for me as I'm likely going to miss the last broadcast as I'm flying during that time. I haven't really spoken to and messaged anyone concerning OLTL as it's too painful. I actually live right next to the studio where they wrapped up almost two months ago, so it still hurts to pass by.
@MissONTM David Nichtern and Lee Holdridge made this version as alternative version in October/November 1995. A shorter version debuted as a soundtrack of the 7,000th episode photo montage, which was the same episode this opening premiered.
There was a one day opening...It lasted one day...It was kind of a farce episode, but brilliant. Todd was Vicki. Starr was, I think, Rae Cummings. The different characters WERE different characters for that one day. Does anyone have THAT opening? Or does no one know what I'm talking about?
Yes I do. It was on a Halloween. Wasn't that a hoot? Even the opening credits had all the switches too. Too bad I recorded over it. Todd, with the Vicki wig on, just about floored me. I loved this show back then.....sigh.
I Saw this version years ago and later at the Museum of Television in New York City and I had long wished to have it and I wanted someone to post in online. Thank You!

Sure, thank you for asking. I was on vacation where access to the internet was limited, sorry for the late reply.

Respectfully asking your permission to use this for a soap theme spoof? (I will credit you)

@TimsDale4ever That wasn't Halloween. It was July 4, 2001.

this is so beautiful and others stealing it and claiming it as their own is just unthinkable. Too many naughty people on the web!

I agree. I still love this. *sigh*
I wish that they would do this again; but now we don't have Clint (the original one) and Asa around to do be in it. :'(

Thanks for understanding! I do hope someone else has this in better quality so we can hear how it sounded in 1995, rather than my VHS quality.

Thank you for posting this. It's a lovely melody.

I like when soap opera themes weren't so generic as they are now. Only DAYS and Y&R have retained their original themes.

I love the way Blair's whole head turns dramtically...it really makes her character.

I have always felt only three characters looked good at that spot of the opening: Blair, Marty, and Skye.

I agree, freeek04...this piano version would've been a great one to use for more than just Christmas.

Well, true. However, if they had played it every day then it's sentimental value would have rapidly and drastically depreciated.

*Real* good English, AyatollahPez.
