And what proof do you have that all things biological are accidental? I lean towards that belief myself, but there is far from any actual proof of it that I have heard of.

mmm I guess the answers depend of the point of view ... It's very complicated to define life... We have only one example of life in the universe (earth); But life could exist in anyplace with the correct juicemix... The problem is that the reactions of life are so random we barely understant life in our planet... just check how many posibilities of shapes exist for one single aminoacid... if you consider that in out planet we use 22 to 24... imagine how many aren't used... and... more and more..
