I think we are forgetting the most obvious reason/explanation for this. ..there is a time rift running under Cardiff. Tosh drops her purse...goes back in time...picks it up...and carries right on with her romance...only to drop her purse a second time. Remember we do not get the opportunity to see the part where she goes back in time. So to us it looks seamless. Except for that little time blip we see at :11.

It's a tough call to say whether its the editors or the actors... I know from experience, if you don't do things at the same time in a scene, and you're filming, then things like that will happen! There's just too many camera angles / shots, and to get the cut right at the right time, it's an easy thing to miss or possibly unavoidable without making it look sketchy!!
