Insurance companies truly frustrate me. When I'm in line at the pharmacy, I can't help but think about how awful it is that one person can purchase a prescription for $10, yet the next person in line, someone who has bad or no insurance, pays $100 or even more for the same exact medication. This inequality should not exist in the healthcare system; medication should not be a luxury item; everyone who needs it should be able to get it. Same is true of medical care.
It certainly wasn't everything we hoped for, but it will be an improvement. People will be able to switch jobs and coverage in a few years without being a slave to preexisting condition exclusions.

If it is working so well, then tell me why some So Cal hospitals are now being paid 38 cents on the dollar for MediCare now that the Law has passed? Who is going to pay the additional 68 cents? No one. Staff and services are being cut to the bone and more. Full time nurses are being put on a per diem basis with NO benefits. Yeah right - it's working wonderfully.

We have healthcare, this law is going to put an unprecedented financial burden and responsibility on the states and who do you think will end up paying for it? We will, small businesses and etc. through increased taxation. We are going to pay more state and federal taxes. Look forward to 2013 and 2014 we are going to pay for this in more ways than one. Insurance companies truly frustrate me. When I'm in line at the pharmacy, I can't help but think about how awful it is that one person can purchase a prescription for $10, yet the next person in line, someone who has bad or no insurance, pays $100 or even more for the same exact medication. This inequality should not exist in the healthcare system; medication should not be a luxury item; everyone who needs it should be able to get it. Same is true of medical care.
