I wish Germans had won this game. It's so sad, Germans didn't win in 2002, 2006, 2008 and 2010. German national team is the most consistent of all. During the latest tournament they played the most offensive and beautiful football. Spain was winning against her opponents by only one goal, while Germans crashed even Argentina with Messi and Tevez 4-0. Germans deserved the trophy much more than Spain. I hope they will finally get the golden medals in 2012, in Poland.

It's just not very apposite, singing a stanza which was, is and will be associated whith the Third Reich. And if you mention the original meaning of this stanza, the conclusion was that one whole national state would be better than the hundreds of small, divined German princedoms, countries before 1871. But since this wish was fullfilled, I see no sense in singing this stanza.
