I agree with u Milic, Chris Degarmo was a crucial part of Queensryche, and they don't sound the same with out him. Although Micheal Wilton is an Awesome guitarist, I really liked Chris' style of playing a lot more. I've seen them twice, once on the Mindcrime tour, which just blew my mind! They were an Amazing band, and should beg Chris to come back.

first time I saw this concert back in 1992 when they make a box set with the VHS and cd and booklet, and I saw play the whole record live, man I went speechless, certainly this is one of the 5 best metal records ever recorded.

Technically I think Chris cut ties with Queensryche! but amen brother he was their heart and soul,pick up any queensryche album from the time they started until the time Chris left and see how many songs on each album DeGarmo co-wrote or wrote.

Yeah, he left a long time ago but he still writes with them occasionally...Degarmo flies planes for a living now, he loves it.

Queensryche still lives on, but not to the extent that they did with Degarmo.

Chris is no longer touring or recording with Queensryche. He left on good terms and still meets with the band and Geoff, I have heard he is a pilot now.

What the hell is with all these people talkin about 30 sec to mars' song mission. I've listen to both and this song in my opinoun is way better. But both songs entiltled the mission by both bands aren't they're best work, not even close.

anyway, Queensryche is a way better band then 30stm, not that they should be compared anyway because they're from two differnt time periods.

Id completely disagree that he was losin it. By this point, he was the most versatile singer in the world but u can only go wailin at crazy pitches for so long. I'd say he was thinking more about the structure durin MindCrime and Empire era. He may not be hittin those notes but Im positive thats purely intentional. There are flashes of that brilliance. The songs from 'Rage' are nowhere near as complete performances as his later stuff. They're just as stupendous but in a completely different way!

Im not saying that he was losing his voice, mean he could still scream a little during mindcrime but he just cant reach the heights of like roads to madness, or prophecy. You can here him in this song that he kind of strains when he hit's the higher notes.

Top band. One of my faves. True, Hear in the now frontier was a bit of duffer. I'm getting an oldie now and seen countless bands but few do a better job live than QR or Rush. One of the best QR gigs I ever saw was at the Astoria Club London on the Tribe tour and they played the Mindcrime set too! Awesome sound and set, tiny venue but felt like a real personal gig as a result. Age range of 16years odd to late 50's rocking out! Can't wait for UK tour in June '08.

Is there anybody that does it better live than this? Very few artists that could even match this performance. Geoff does use SOME playback for his harmonies, but I'd rather have that than the vocal harmonies missing. "My mission saved the world, and I stood Proud!" A timeless classic.

the whole album is just a masterpiece. the storyline throughout is so captivating. its not like other where you listen to a few songs and think the rest is trash. with this album, you have to listen to every track, and each song is great which is why this album enjoyed monumental success and is one of my favorite of all time
