about how much faster does a 16hp engine go, like these 6.5hp 169ccs have like a top speed of I think around 40-45 i have one kinda like this. but like how fast n stuff does a 16hp go? on a gokart bout this heave n everything.
well on my go kart a 6.5 hp will take me to 30 - 32 mph, the max rpm on the 6.5 is 3500. on the 16 hp the max rpm is 4000. when you do the math that comes out to 36-38 mph. the major difference between the 6.5 and the 16 is torque. meaning the 16 hp can get you to your top speed faster and you also have better climbing ability. one more thing, you can adjust the gear ration for more speed or more torque. i hope this helps
oh ok thanks, but do u know of any like relatively cheap engines like a type of motorcycle engine that I could put on mine? im looking for speed haha im 15 and i only got a 6.5hp like i said but i like to go fast and im a good driver so do u know of anything from cycle engines or a good size that is like quick in torque and has a pretty good top speed of like maybe around 50or60+ hopefully more.
not that ill be goin THAT fast just like to know that i can put the pedal down when i want to and not get an adrenaline rush and go then have to top out at like 32 while others pass me lol and thanks for ur help:)
