This bill only closes tax loopholes it does not raise corporate tax rates. This bill limits the number of itemized deductions that those who make over 200k or families that make over 250k can make(400 billion over 10 years) this bill will develop infrastructure and is paid for via a few minor changes to how those at the very top pay taxes. Since infrastructure is the highest return investment that can be made(as long as its needed) those types of project are given priority.

Noone is trying to raise corporate taxes they are trying to raise taxes on the most wealthy. They are trying to close corporate tax loopholes so that the most wealthy corporations who are the best connected no longer have an unfair advantage. This bill seeks to limit the number of itemized deductions that those who make over 200k and families that make over 250k can make which would generate 400billion over 10 years.

This bill only closes tax loopholes it does not raise corporate tax rates. This bill limits the number of itemized deductions that those who make over 200k or families that make over 250k can make(400 billion over 10 years) this bill will develop infrastructure and is paid for via a few minor changes to how those at the very top pay taxes. Since infrastructure is the highest return investment that can be made(as long as its needed) those types of project are given priority.

That is the most radical idea I have ever heard. Not only would this suppress small businesses but it would cause a massive shift in wealth from those at the bottom to the top. Republicans seem to hate the idea or redistribution of wealth unless it is a redistribution from those on the bottom to those on the top. Purchase power is the engine that drives our economy and we are currently running at 50% since the bottom 50% only has 2.5% of the nations wealth. Additionally those on the bottom are unable to contribute to this nations development because of lack of opportunities and employment. This is what creates a welfare state.

Total of wealth held by US households (not incl`d corp`s) is $28 TRILLION. The top 10% hold 80% of that, or $22.4 TRILLION.
By contrast the bottom 50% hold only 2.5% of the wealth, or $1.4 trillion.
Sound absurd? It is. But it's also the facts.
The US ranks 64th in wealth inequality, between Mexico & Iran..
but by all means cut spending that goes to the bottom 50% and give the wealthy tax breaks

The top 5% however has seen a rise in income of 40% since 1980. We the people is right. In terms of wealth the more wealth you have the higher your obligation is toward the nation and that is why you should pay a higher tax rate. The wealthy did not grow their money on trees their wealth will always be the result of other Americans who paid them for their product of service. Tax rates should be proportional to the distribution of wealth. No one would disagree that wasteful spending is bad.

I don't mind more stimulus and help, shit the rich are "Good" the poor and middle class are the struggling ones, it's funny to because conservatives complain about spending when it's actually helping the workers of america, but say they can give the rich tax cuts while balancing the budget? lol If we are broke and need money, doesn't it make sense to tax the people who can afford it even more? lol I cannot take these people serious.

@inkydinkydooky Theres not a tax increase in percentages, theres an increase in revenue due to closing corporate loopholes for private jets, their infrastructure or investments in their own companies, and a reduction in tax spending from other areas to put the money back into the hands of american workers paying people to actually do something in this country. Unless you make multi millions off of cheating the system thru loopholes its not affecting you.

@tipuppy2011 we should have never set up our society to be so car dependent in the first place. Water doesn't cost that much, neither does food; we spend more on gas than food. I put 60 a week into gas, food doesn't cost that much. I wasn't talking about consumer goods I was thinking about mortgages and banking and how we the consumer, developed a massive market for homes the american people cant afford and now were paying the price for what we did. Housing and finance killed this economy.

The industrial revolution is what made this country great or have they taken that out of public school text books? It start with you. If you don't like it, then ditch the car and ride a bike. About the housing market. It was liberal policies that enabled (forced) banks to loan money to people that couldn't afford them. Clinton did that and Obama bailed them out.
