  • This song has no dislikes on it and I know why!...It is awesome!!!

  • the spider. A web of a song! awsome2!

  • Kansas wasn't a Christian band tho they did spawn one. Kerry Livgren and Dave Hope both left the band after finding Christ to for A.D. a Christian band. Kerry continued to write song's for the band and incorporated a lot of his own beliefs and that edge of searching that's prevalent in so much of their music.

Steve Walsh left the band in the 80s due to this, according to interviews at the time one felt he couldn't due justice to Kerrys lyrics since he didn't share his beliefs.

  • Right up there with Rush, , catching up to King Crimson.. LIGHT YEARS AHEAD OF EVERYONE ELSE... THEN AND NOW.

  • Amazing, so much depth and wonderfully put together instruments. Nothing like todays music.

  • Not only a great song of a leader of men who loses his way. I think it even more interesting when followed by "Nobody's Home." It's not quite "Child Of Innocence," followed by "The Pinnacle," which seemed written to be played together, but it follows somehow.

As for the characterization of the band being "Christian," they were not, but songs often touched on themes which included Christian spirituality, yet they were clearly a secular band w/ Christian streaks. There be worse things to be.

  • KANSAS---''CLOSET CHRONICLES''

  • kansas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the feeling between 1:39 and 2:27 is remarkable!

  • Just brilliant stuff!! The bashing of these guys for being Christian is so lame...they played with heart and soul!! Their orientation shouldn't even be an issue...isn't that what we all love about music anyway...and specifically about Rock? It's about freedom, not turning people away because they are different or unique.

  • @KEP3365 Spot on, bro...that's a fact!!!

  • Kind of sounds a bit like the story of Howard Hughes although it could be lots of old rich suckers.. or nobody..

  • @FreeClassicFlix Yeah it's about Howard Hughes, the line about the 42nd floor talks about the Penthouse in the Flamingo hotel in Vegas

  • @TehWarden555 Hmm.. I always thought that was the case, but I'm usually dead wrong and get crucified for it. Those not old enough to remember Hughes should read up on the old bastard. It's a really intriguing tale of an old recluse who was once the richest man alive.

  • j'aime////

  • @jokersbonus I don't know why this has been spammed. What you say makes sense!

  • @borgduck I think I know why youtube labeled it as "spam". They seem to focus on certain keywords, 2 of which I think he used in his last paragraph. I don't agree with this policy, but I think it's what they do. For example, in one recent posting on this I used an 8 letter word starting with "L" meaning the guy I pay my rent to every month, and they put it as "subject to review" I think their server keyed in on the last 4 letters of that word.
