Caroline Kennedy exudes grace and I enjoy listening to her speeches. She gave a wonderful and moving speech about her beloved uncle.

One quality I admire about Ted Kennedy is that he worked tirelessly to reach out and be there for all his nephews and nieces. Standing in where JFK and Bobby should have stood cannot have ever been an easy burden. But Ted Kennedy did it and anyone can sense that from Caroline Kennedy's words tonight.

I disagreed with Ted's politics and the way he demonized certain groups of people to pander to his voter base. I will not say disrespectful things about him now because he cannot defend himself. I don't think my remark was inappropriate at all considering who the subject is. On the contrary I was quite restrained in my comments. If you continue to pursue this ridiculous subject I can't make any promises. What bothers me is the fact that those who disagree with his views are now all of a sudden supposed to say kind things about him because he is dead? If we did not honor him in life, why do so in death? Let his family mourn him, bury him and let us forget him.
