I watched all tapes so far without commenting but can everyone please shut up about Selena being bad ? She hasn't done anything yet ? And I think she'll be good and if she's not... ? Well so what none of you have ever made a movie. She can do what she wants and I for one can't wait to see this movie no matter who's hannah. This is a great story... Please don't lower it's expections :)

@BelaCharm Well technically we don't know if the tapes were passed on after Jenny (thats who Clay mailed them 2 cuz the book ended but so far everyones passin it) but the reasons they got out in the first place was because Mr. Porter and he has no one to pass them on2.

Love love love this story, Jay Asher. Though, this isn't how I pictured Hannah's voice.

I wish more people would read Hannah's story, I think there would be a lot less bullying in high schools if they did.

I don't like this voice. I imagined Hannah's voice to be twisted- in a good way. She wants people to suffer for what they did to her and she wants revenge. She's happy to go away, to take all the pain away yet she knows that some people will miss her. This sounds too...desperate. Like she's sad she's leaving. Some people are glad that they are leaving their 'living hell' and I always imagine her to be one of those people.

@OfficialIT Hannah never seemed like the kind of girl who sent these tapes for revenge. Sure, I bet she was angry for what the people did to her. However, I doubt it was ever to make them feel her pain. That seems...too malicious for Hannah. I dont believe she wanted to die either. That's why she went to Mr. Porter, and she brought the tape recorder with her. She wanted to be saved, but she never was. That's why she sounds so sad.

Even though I like Selena Gomez, I don't think she would be a good Hannah Baker. I picture Hannah having long blonde hair, and clearly, Selena does not have that. I think Selena Gomez is too Disney-like to play Hannah.

this girls voice is perfect for how hannah's voice sounds the whole time that I was reading the book I heard this voice. I just can't picture hannah sounding like this with selena gomez but maybe she will do good with this role I'm intrested how she protrays hannah.

@CaribaPhoebeFan She did. You should read it. Besides, honestly, you don't get it until you're there. These people are the thirteen reasons why she committed suicide. You don't up and decide to kill yourself for no reason, and most of the time, the reasons are based in the actions of other people. I enjoyed the book.

I noticed that not everything Hannah said was in the tapes as Im reading the book, because there are things she's saying I dont remember...Did you leave parts off? just asking. Or maybe I wasnt paying attention to her? But I'll be damned if I wasnt paying attention..I was doing nothing else except listening to the tapes. lol.

Hannahsfriend13, please finish the tapes. I realize that this is a way to promote the selling of the book, but please let us hear the whole cassette tapes. This book is so moving and every time I hear the voice of "Hannah Baker," I get tears in my eyes. I would really just like to hear the whole tapes.

And, besides, the only authors I know of that've done that are JKR and stefenie meyer. and doing things like that for that reason make them bad writers. good writers tell a story as it should be, not change it specifically to keep book sales going.
