  • Hey, either im getting this finish or white on a epiphone special II les paul, which do you recommend for a teenager, for metal/rock/today rock, or avenged sevenfold type music, based on looks white or cherry sunburst??

  • @AJs209TV This is a tough decision... The only answer is to buy one of each! : )

  • @AJs209TV i have the epiphone les paul special ii too. but to be honest it really sucks. do you already play guitar? or is this your first? if its your first then nevermind. but if not, i think you should just save up for a decent guitar. dont just buy the cheapest thing you see in the store. if youre a teenager then you are way to big for that beginner guitar anyway. but if you do decide to get the special ii, id go for the all black or wine red since you like metal. white is boring.

  • Very good Demo!! Hey, what's with the red curtained background? Looks like Ben Hur or Julius Caesar is gonna make an appearance!!

  • OMG What was the song called at 2:05 . Sounds sexy !

  • @imaboi88 That's "Lil' Darlin" it's a jazz tune. Check out Joe Pass's or Count Basie's version.

  • @dcooper830 Thanks man !

  • hi great vid and you have talent man :). just wanna no how good is the epiphone les Paul custom and is it worth the money

  • @vintage76543210 It is great and it's totally worth the money. I enjoy it just as much as my Gibson Les Paul Custom and I mean that very sincerely. : )

  • @dcooper830 cheers and one more thing is the standard any good aswell

  • Amazing playing

    !

  • @MegaIlikebananas a guitar like that would run from $699-799. if you negotiate and pay cash like myself, you could get it for $550 or less

  • how many guitars do you have

  • Nice play but not on the tone. :)

  • THATS JUST LIKE MINE!!! except my fret markers are dots :( i wish they wer bars they look LEGiiT :P anyway nice 6 string dude!!

  • Which pickup is better for an epiphone custom? 498t + 490r or burstbuckers?

  • Wow thats one nice sounding epiphone. =D

  • does it has a whammy

  • where did you buy it from? musicians friend doesnt sell that color and thats the only one i want.

  • what song is that at 2:05

  • that's a sweeeet guitar,man!!!

  • this is drew 224 from the forums. you do great demos, man!

  • should i get one of these ao a standard ultra 2 which also has the acoustic pickup?

  • @mtbxcfreak I would get this. The Ultra II has weird contours that don't belong on a Les Paul

  • Would have been nice to give a summary rather than just walk up and switch off. Bit finger tied on some parts so could not get the full benefit of the tones. Nice guitar though!

  • @RandyRocketRaZa it definately is a great size...i have hands built for fenders, but the neck on my custom fits perfect.

  • sounds amazing nice guitar man. your very good

  • Wats the song called on 1:04?!!!

  • @bananasgeez That's "Reelin' In The Years" by Steely Dan

  • can someone tell me the name of the songs?

  • Where can I buy that model?

  • dude... you have one in ever color... is that really necessary? How bout you give one to me eh?

  • I wanna have that guitar that´s my dream guitar *_____*

But i life in germany and there i can not buy that beautiful guitar :(

  • I'm getting one in June, it'll cost me about 1240 dollars/820 euros..

Just wondering, isn't that too expensive???

  • @1pozz1 yea man for that price you should save a little more and buy a gibson

  • @1pozz1 thats very expensive for a custom, i bought one for 484euro, the max they would go up to in a very expensive shop would be 600

  • Where can I buy that model?? I can only find Gibsons.

  • hey i dont know a damn thing on how to play and electric guitar and i wanna ask.how do you know what to set to make different tunes and stuff? like at 2:32

  • what's the best site to buy this from?

  • i got one but its not custom for 119 pounds!!!

  • or 235 i wish i could tho i need a new guitar mine is a epiphone sg n whin i first got it i thought it was the best you could get tho but now i have no money and im scared to ask for a new one so im stuck with the crappy sg arrggggggg

  • ur good and hth dew you get a lespaul for 282

  • got a epiphone les paul custom vintage sunburst for £235!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • nice

  • For how much did you get this? If i can get it for 250 should i buy it?

  • Heck yes! Those cost around like 500 dollars!

  • look Any axe u buy you have to set up, some are better others are bad. i have an older epi some what like this one close buy not either, i had a 67 gibson v gave it to jmy son, whats the problem right, there are older epiphones that scream as good or better than gibson, look around even garage sales you might find a heirloom even still, i payed a few grand for a guitar worth 5 times as much and plays better than most custom shop guitars found today, set your own up replace pickups tuners and jam

  • nice feel

  • where to buy one of these cant find a custom dyed sunburst

  • HAHAHA deadchick95

  • eiphones rock for begginers i have a les paul sunburst im a lefty

  • Does anybody know anything about the special, is it smooth to play?

  • hmm do u mean epiphone special II? its a pretty good guitar, but the bends dont hold as long as the custom does and the treble strings go out of tune after a while. but yeah, its really smooth

  • NOOOOOO/......DONT BUT THE SPECIALII.......ITS SHIT.....unless ur a beginer...its a great start out guitar

  • This guy must own a music store....or....his wife is tied up in the basement.....

  • i agree

  • HAHAHAHAH!!!

  • or... DOESN'T HAVE A WIFE!

  • @jcbak best comment i have ever read!

  • @jcbak Yeah, you are right. Check out his videos. Every video its like: ''Heyy, this is my Epiphone Les Paul Custom Wine Red'', ''This is my Epiphone '56 Re-issue goldtop'' ''This is my blablabla'' etc. etc. lol

  • would it be a better idea to get one of these and have nice gibson pickups put in or to just buy a real gibson?

  • just find an epiphone that has similar body specs to the gibson, like the epiphone stand plain top, then just put gibson burstbuckers in it and maybe a gibson nashville locking bridge and that's basically the gibson les paul standard.

  • Just about, but it's the nitro finish that adds all the resonance and cost to the Gibsons. All the Epiphones get that thick poly finish. Very plastic-like. But that's not to say they don't make some good guitars.

  • You can replace the pickups that's what I usually do but I must say this one sounds damn nice. It really depends on what you like when you play them side by side. You will probably like the Gibby a little more until you get up to the checkout counter and realise that it's really not worth the MUCH bigger price tag. Also remember the amp has alot to do with how good your guitar will sound. A $3,000 guitar will sound like shit through a shitty amp.

  • gibson pickups. if u want the guitar he has in the video but a gibson version its around $4,000

  • getting on of these would be a great alternative. but never think that just changing the pups are gonna give you a gibson guitar. good pickups are just a mask for bad tone (or not as good tone). the true nature of the guitar really comes alive when the guitar sounds good acoustically (or responds well acoustically) which the custom shop guitars do.

  • sorry for my ignorance but what is being played at 2:04?

  • what you paid this guitar??

    Sorry for the english..i'm italian..xD

  • This guitar is not on the market anymore :(

    :( :(

  • I know, I have been trying to get it since forever it really sucks

  • That's badass!!

  • Nice!

  • thats how it shood b done... nice job.

  • NICE!! a good set of humbucker's are what the Epi les pauls need to sound 70% better. I'm thinkin about getting a custom and putting a set of Gibson's 57's in it.

  • sounds nice

  • reelin the years yeah!

  • i ordered a cherry sunburst but everything that is black on urs is whit-ish on mine. it comes in the mail today:D

  • AAAh !!! Lots of envy !

  • because his is a custom and u got a standard

  • Wow man great! Great tone and playing!

  • do you have some tabs for what you have played?

  • nice one mate exellent tone

  • great sound.....awsome choice of tunes

  • Great looking and sounding rig. Kind of an Allman Brothers-ish tone. Very nice.

  • When he busted out reelin the years i really started diggin it!

  • It's medium. It has some good chunk to it .... but not too thick.

  • yo nice guitar i got one that has mohaganny back and a tiger wood front with jade tuning pegs and i love it

    cost like $2500 though....

oh and it wasnt made at the epiphone factory but at the gibson factory with the rest of the standards so i cant really call it an epiphone

  • yo nice guitar i got one that has mohaganny back and a tiger wood front with jade tuning pegs and i love it

    cost like $2500 though....

  • hey did u trade this into guitar center??i have the same exact guitar lol used traded in

  • great soundin guitar

or ur just really good at playin it

  • Nice playing man, 5/5!

  • wat song is this

  • You the man, Coopa!

  • i have that same guitar

    PERFECT! i repeat

PERFECT FOR GUNS N ROSES SONG!

  • Sounds Good.

The Les Paul Guitar sounds good.

    Gibson or Epiphone.

    Good Job

  • He Prob Just had stock ones that come with the guitar

  • is there really a big difference after changing the pickups? whats so bad about the stock pickups?

  • the stock pickups are really good actually. But of course the gibson pickups scream a little more.

  • I got mine used with the pups installed already and I'm not exaggerating it plays just as well as the gibsons

  • in 2 hours that guitar arrives to my house! ;)

  • nice guitar man. im saving up the money to get one just like that.

  • awesomee dude

  • I changed the pickups after I bought it.

  • this guitar i am getting today.. its worth $500!!!! its sooo cool=) keep rocking dude sounds awesome

  • I saw this at ebay, bidding is 250$, is it worth it?

  • yeah,it gives you more worth for your money then a gibby lp studio imo

  • do u have a seperate room for all ur guitars plz respond

  • how many epiphones les paul custom do you have?

  • GOOD JAMMIN SESSIONNNNNN

  • Great jam.

  • i have the same guitar. it's very good.

    do you think?

  • loved your smooth jazz work. thats one thing i wish i was more fluent in. guess i need to get to work. haha

  • sounds grateful dead/yes/jerry garcia-ish

  • i bought this yesterday :)

  • me too

    that's a great guitar

  • got a kinda different one just a little darker on the edges

  • got the same

been 8 years and I still love it

  • Kyle Gass!!!

  • nice guitar

  • This is actually a veryyyy nice guitar. i just bought the exact same one a while back and its great. I find that its pretty close with the Gibsons. If you're looking to buy a guitar thats not expensive like the gibsons, deff go for this model in Epiphone cause the price is a few grand cheaper.

  • hey dcooper830,

just wanted to give you a 'THANK YOU' because i've just purchased my next epiphone... got a sweet P90 and a Burstbucker Pro installed (very loud and warm). kind of useless info to you, but to others reading this i just wanted to say that dcooper830 posts got me onto the wonder and value that is epiphone... keep on pluggin' these vids.

  • Hello

    Like your videos :)

You seem to have alot of epiphones.

    How about your Gibson collection?

    Take care

  • hey you got any higher gain videos of the c30?

  • The sound of Burstbuckers are my favorite sound actually! I love them! I just wish they were a little hotter :/, they really need some gain for the Primus covers.

The thing about BB's is that they are designed the way Gibson manufactered pickups in the early 1950's. So yeah, if you know what your doing, you'll get a vintage sound.

  • yo did they dicontinue that guitar...i cant find it anywhere

  • i got this guitar for £195 and its worth like £500 the guy didnt know nout about guitars nice playin how many les paus u got

  • Lovely version of 'Lil Darlin' - Hefti and Hendricks sure could write a great song.

  • Can you get a real Vintage sound with the Burstbucker? ps: great video

  • dude trade in one of the twangers and buy a new couch for the family. IKEA has some cheap ones. By the way nice playin....

  • It this cheaper or more expensive version of this guitar? Nevermind, it sounds amazing! Fits great with Peavey classic :)

  • I have that exact same guitar.

I got it real cheap on ebay - felt sorry for the guy, he didn't know what he was doing.

I've bought and sold lots of guitars over the years.

I love this one, it's for keeps.

It's better than my friends Gibson Les Paul Studio.

  • Do they still offer these at Stores?

  • Well just the 2 most obvious differences between a standard and custom are that on a Standard the pearl inlays only go up to the 3rd fret and there is no binding on the head stock like there is on a custom.

  • so i've been playing a strat for 3 years. But now i want a Epi les paul custom. Does the neck feel relatively the same, or is it hard getting used to?? if u've played a fender neck for a long time.

  • I'm not sure if it would be easy to get to used to but... Well, it'd be hella worth it! Les Pauls are more than you could ever wish for. Though if I could guess I'd say that you should be alright. And if it's too thick, just move your thumb towards a thinner place on the neck or something... =P

  • You sound like me. I started playing guitar on a Strat, and have played them for the past four years. I've tried different kind of guitars like Jackson and Ibanez and they both have fast necks, but the Les Pauls really have a thick neck. At first it feels a little weird if you're into the fast solos and stuff, but it has that great LP tone and is a great chunk of wood to play.

  • =D Yeah I totally agree.

  • No, the Fender neck is much thinner than the Epiphone.

  • tenes exelentes guitarras, pero para vos estan en vano. son demasiado buenas para vos y ensima tenes 10 masomenos.

  • Que forro.

  • are you sure this is a custom? i thought the customs only came in alpine white and ebony or is this the custom plus?

  • Yeah. This is a Custom Plus. I don't think they're making them anymore. But you can find 'em on Ebay.

  • What do you think? Should I buy one Epiphone Les Paul or anEpiphone 1958 Explorer??

  • Epiphone Les Paul. But I only say that cause I've never been into Explorers.

  • Thanks!

  • either way your getting a nice guitar

    ive played both

the explorere does have some dead zones with the tone controls but that couldve just been the particular model

and the les paul is just great

    plays nice and great tones

    if that helps at all

    lol

  • explorers are big and bulky

  • I love all your guitars but why do u have like 5 of the same in different colours with all the same pickups?

  • Variety is the spice of life! =P

  • i thihnk that this is the guitar im getting cuz i already went to guitar center to purchase a guitar and i put an epiphone les paul custom on layaway and im not sure exactly which one i got i think that this may be the one i hope cuz this one sounds great

  • Ok guyszzz thayszzz a really ssssssweeet guitar

  • i bought a Epiphone les paul standard for $194 on ebay and it looks exactly like that

  • I don't think you can get that guitar for $194.

  • i got my custom in wine red or ebay for about £200, i dont think its that much more that nikeboys one in dollars.

  • That's definately more.

  • COULD YOU PLAY AT THE DISTROCTION TOO?

  • Do you mean distortion?

  • what were you playing at 2:06?

    any tabs?

  • Sweet guitar... I personally just got the exact same guitar from my local music store... I am running it thruogh a Fender Frontman 212R 100W with elecrto-harmonix pedals!!! (all of this was my 16th b-day gift!)

  • hey buddy.....1st great playin... i got a question... i just wanna know about these epiphones. like do u find them any good...as in are they relaible and the sound???... cos i wanna buy one but not sure if they'r that good... what do u think.. and are they "gig friendly"... if any one could answer i'd like that....

  • i just go this guitar and im loving it, also i LOVE that colour i got it 2!

  • are u rich!!! uv got all those guitars

  • what is the tab for the lick you played in the beginning?what pick ups would you consider for a Epiphone Les Paul Classic.

  • wait a sec.. i thought u can only get customs in black or white?

  • Nope.. sometimes there are special editions like the epi lp custom silverburst.

..But what he got here is called an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Plus. They come in Heritage Cherry- and Vintage Sunburst. The only difference though with the normal Custom is that the Custom Plus has a flamed maple top and comes in 2 sunburst colours instead of ebony and alpine white.

  • dcooper, please give me one of your Les Pauls haha. nice playing

  • Yo Dcooper, how many Les Pauls do u have, nevermind that how many guitars do u have?

    cool playing

  • What's the difference between a Les Paul Standard and a Les Paul Custom?

  • the looks. if ur gonna choose.. go on color.. they sound exactly the same, i think its got diffrent pickups.

  • w000t 5/5

  • why do you buy only epiphones??
