  • I love Martha. always have, but the smoking took it's toll, this isn't bad, but there is a vid here with her and Patty Labelle and it's awful...

  • this would probably make my dogs howl.

  • Paris! It's okay! We know she can sing! and Anyone who doesn't appreciate her can GO TO H E L L and KICK ROCKS!

  • Martha sounds sultry & smolders in this unique original showing the DIVA still has it...Bravo Martha!!!

  • I like it. Lower ranger sounds good on her.

  • Thanks for posting this and the great photo. "Running For Your Love" was included in the movie soundtrack "Who ate the Potato Salad"

  • If she wrote this, my hat's off to her. Good lyrics. But OMG. She should have hired a producer because her voice was not working the way she produced this song. Still, I could hear the potential. Could become the next campy gay anthem.

  • LOL @ the campy gay anthem comment xD

  • No she is overusing the vibrado and operatics. Her voice is still good it's just the style doesnt work for her voice. long steady notes from her sound better. This actually sounds like karaoke.

  • Thanks for the comment, No, she is not overusing her vibrato, the style does suit her. plus she wrote and arranged AND produced this song. and WOW the first bad/hater comment in 289 views :-)

plus this is not karaoke, its real instruments.

    But thanks for your opinion.

  • A hater is someone who uses jealousy or envy as a basis for criticism. Stating an opinion is not hating. Because you like it doesnt mean others have to. It doesnt appeal to me and I have a right to say so. I never said there werent live instruments I said it sounded like karaoke meaning it sounds like an amateur singing for recreation. her voice is waving all over the place and she doesnt hold 1 steady noted. You like it which is your right. I don't like it which is my right.

  • Also... yes the first bad/hater comment in 289 views :-)

But Only 11 comments out of 292 views... So 281 didn't even deem it worthy of a comment. LMAO !!!

  • of course living legend Martha Reeves still has it ..never a doubt in my mind about that...she has always had it.. a true, genuine heartfelt soulful pro!

  • doesnt really sound like martha, but this is great!

  • The Fact is, Martha Reeves STILL HAS IT! her voice may have changed, but you can still tell its her! and she is A M A Z I N G! A true legend.

  • You forgot SHIRLEY BASSEY - she can still blow like she could in the 60s

  • Ha,love this song..and the picture.

  • Martha Reeves is a legend. I like this joint though I feel she would've truly tore it up during the Motown period. ;)

    Nice tho.

  • Wow, this sounds pretty decent. The production is nice - much better than the production on Diana's lastest album "I Love You".

Plus, Martha sounds great - no yodel =)

  • I think she still has a pretty 'AWESOME' Voice.Haven't heard this album, but, I kinda agree with 'fannyc99',I think she is capable of far better than this song.Loved her yrs ago,so, thanx 4 posting this cos it's GR8 2 no she's still singing,+ WELL! X

  • One of the better tracks from a pretty average album. Love Martha back in the day so 5*
