Ali Landry was just gorgeous!! Kansas thought she was going to win but in a total upset, Ali Landry took the crown. I remember how happy I was she won that night! She's such a sincere and humble person.

If i had to choose on looks alone i would have picked Miss Kansas and i love Ali Landry but something about her hairstyle made her not look as good as she did just a couple years later in that Dorito's commercial.

Chelsi Smith won Miss USA 1995 and Shanna Moakler was her first runner up. Then, in Namibia, Chelsi won the Miss Universe title and automatically renounced her title as Miss USA, therefore, Shanna took on the role as the official Miss USA 1995. The same thing happened in 1997, Brook Lee won MU 1997 and Brandi Sherwood become the new and official Miss UA 1997.

A Chelsi Smith venceu ao Miss Universo e ela desejava ser só a Miss Universo e não Miss USA porque toda que ganha o Miss Universo quer ser Miss Universo. Então há uma regrera no contrato que se a Miss USA ganha Miss Universo deixa esse título e da segundo lugar ao Miss USA volta-se a nova Miss USA oficialmente. Entendeu?

Eu acho esta regra bullshit, ela é a MIss Universo e também é a Miss EUA, não entendo abrir mão de um titulo por causa de outro, não existe isso em nenhum outro país.

A Miss Universo americana, é de fato e de direito Miss USA e Miss Universe.

Yo realmente pensé que iba a ganar Kansas, ya que había ganado todas las competencias anteriores y respondió mejor, pero al final la sopresa fue para Miss Louisiana Ali Landry, quien es también muy bella y ahora es famosa.
