what i strangely like about el-p's instrumentals is that i'm never fully sure if i like them or not, everytime i find myself listening close.. trying to decide whether i want to listen to it again, and everytime i end up listening over and over... still never sure if i like the beat.. its weird but at the same time refreshing. just the mindstate it puts me in. very dope style. i dont kno what to make of any of this. these beats are harder to decipher than aesop rock's lyrix! lol

All the beats on "The Cold Vein" are just... epic is the only way to describe them. Cold Vein is this decade's "Liquid Swords", in my opinion. The perfect hip-hop album. Not a single song you want to skip, tells a story with each song, you feel the emotion in both the beat and the lyrics... it's just perfect.

This is MY FAVORITE TRACK, I LOVE THIS sounds so symphony like and Cinematic, When Vordul rhymes he takes it 2 another level on this one. He really meshes wit the beat and it sounds kind of like the end of a movie where the good guy dies. Its so sad and Fascinating at the same time I get mixed emotions listening 2 this one its a work of Art. Truly should be mentioned as a Classic Masterpiece up there with the so called greats of this American Civilization. I present Hip Hop at its finest
