Fantastic song, shatner really is a talented man and this album is definitely in my top ten. This video was pretty funny though, the stormtroopers at the end made me chuckle.
and yeah, this is an amazing song. Play it on a good stereo, turn off the lights and light a candle. His voice will fill the room, and the sadness is overwhelmingly beautiful. And somehow still very reassuring and.. nice.. I'm making no sense, I know :o)
I find this song incredibly sad much like the poerty of Rod Mckuen. I think Bill Shatner really delivers on this the way he puts the feelings across. Its a shame that he doesnt stretch himself anymore with his acting roles. He is certainly capapble of deliving good drama but alas these days appears to rely on self parody.
once you have to delve into self parody like i'm sure shatner has, it opens up a whole world of awkwardness.....he has done with what he has and it is borderline hillarious/tear jerking, the shatner has hit the fan
I can't belive it. A song written about my life ....

Has Been. One of the best, most underrated albums of all time. Said without a shred of irony.

I love this song, even though most of the album is kind of jokey, this is a beautiful song.

I think the live version, that's on YouTube, is better, but of course it's still amazing
