And that's bad...why? Actually, a decent paladin (who has the spec and gear for it) won't ever run out of mana unless in dire circumstances, and every so often I did run in to those. Mana aside, mana is nothing if you can't get off a healing spell.
Actually, Flash of Light was set to 2, so I pressed it more often than 1. ;) But you'd be surprised. I toss in more than just healing spells, just most are instant cast spells, so you can't tell from the casting bar.

true but it really depends on the healer and what he/she is healing and where. its completely different for raid like kara and gruuls and way way way different for netherstorm keep
You wanna see a graphical improv, go 2 org, valley of trails. Go to the battlemasters chamber and get a close up look at the AB BM armor and then compare to the Strand of the Ancients BM armor. The SotA BM armor has more lustre and it stands out more. Dont believe go look.

as a holy pally with 2.2k +healing bc currently my spec wont have beacon of light but sheath of light with a 31% crit chance 37% with holy light and the instence crit holy light you do more healing with it than holy light but wont be able to heal a group at the same time but for raiding sheath of light is the way to go i get 9k holy lights right now 60% of 9k thats almost 6k over 12 sec that an amazing hot way better than beacon if you want to raid rather than mass heal ppl which priests do!
For a holy paladin to aquire the Sheeth of Light spec you would need to set aside 23(!) talent points in the retribution tree which means you'll lose Judgements of the Pure and Beacon of Light. You can however keep them and still spec down to Conviction in the retri tree which has been reworked and now awards 5% spell crit aswell.
Paladins look awesome in the expansion. There are some very exciting changes for all three trees. I hope the Sheath of Light spec is actually viable for holy... An extra 5% spell crit and free HoTs would be cool.
I wish I was in the beta. I'd love to test the new prot abilities.

You speak truth. (You should hear people when they realize they can no longer get Blessing of Salvation. ("Manage my own aggro?? What?!") Since I went full holy for the beta, I only have might and wisdom. Definitely makes it easier to choose appropriate buffs for people, but I think all paladins will spend a lot of time explaining to people that, "No, you can't have ____ anymore because it doesn't work like that anymore."
Thank you. nearly all Paladin videos from the beta are retribution paladins. Its nice to see a video on a holy paladin. Now if only there were videos of protection paladin. As i play prot pally myself i'm very interested in seeing their near abilities and such. I've also notice the prot paladin in this video useing a spell dmg mace. Not sure he knows this but Hammer of righteousness works better with a slower physical dps weapon as it scales with weapon dmg instead of spell dmg. anyway Thanks!

I wasn't trying to sound harsh. I was just trying to help. At the time of my last post alot of paladins have been posting on beta forums confused on what weapons they should be useing. i was merely trying to give some advice is all.
I've actually designed a holy spec that goes into the Ret tree to get "sheath of light" for that HoT heal when any healing spell crits. Presently this seems better than getting beacon of light. a Mana-FREE HoT that does 60% additional healing... in your case (2900 FoL crits) = would heal an extra 1700 over 12secs. That seems like it would be far more awesome than Beacon of Light. Whats your opinion (having actually healed in WotLK)
Seeing how healing is more dependent on talents in the new expansion than previously (remember, +healing stats no longer apply as much as currently), I would have to give up a lot of my talents just to get Sheath of Life. It would be a good spec if I were to be an offhealer that mainly dpsed, but I'm usually the main (or only) healer, so I don't often get the chance to enter melee for long. Usually long enough to send out a holy shock or two, which holy spec does well.
If you see +400s popping up on people, that's it. Beacon of Light is cast on one person, lasts for 15 seconds, and anyone within ten yards of the target regains health for the duration. It gives me some time to whip out larger heals, which means that paladins don't have to keep spamming flash of light the entire time.
It's a lot more intense when the mobs hit harder. So far these instances have mobs that can't hit worth anything, but I bet that'll change a great deal before the game's released.
Honestly? I think it's wonderful! It's a fairly long cast (same as Holy Light), but if I can get one of those off, it usually gives me a few seconds to cast something bigger. It wasn't as critical in this instance, but in The Nexus it made a huge difference.
As for cooldown, it has none so far. I hope that stays the same when the game is released.

I do believe there will only be blessing of might, wisdom, kings, and sanctuary. the rest will be 'hand' spells
