You cannot look upon this as the same elements you would see in a movie. i've done karate ever since 1st grade, and i am a black belt, and i have to say, this guy is amazing. yes, you can actually 'flip' someone in a real fight, but they are not flips, they are really throws, take downs, and sweeps. but to learn how to do a 'flip' you have to have it done on yourself, so dont get too excited
