i have a 1997 nissan maxima, my friend swears up and down that his 06 tiburon gt will destroy my car, he is ignorant enough to say a trailblazer would beat it, but anyway i have thought about swappin a vq35de into my maxima, my car is an automatic, would it be wise to keep an automatic or try to find a manual 2002 or 1997 maxima to race with, and if i keep the 97 what would i need to do in order for the swap to be successful?
so hey i have a i30 with the 5spd...will i be able to use the ecu maf and harness from the vq30de so a de-k can bolt right into??or what would i need for a de-k swap??
@carsnwomen91 yea and i think im one of the few that also have a vlsd but i dnt no how many came with that...ive never seen another i30t 5spd around here in dallas
@urgeone vq30de= 190hp @ the crank, vq30de-k= 222hp @ the crank. VQ30DE stops making power at around 5000-5500rpm, and the VQ30DE-K will keep making power till redline. This is b/c of the VI (Variable Intake). You can take a 00-01 VI and install it on the DE with a little modding, and the DE will also make power till redline.

@poopheadin2011 do the 00vi swap and a y pipe with a tune and you should get about a 45hp increase
