I may just do that. but maybe a sunnyboy 5000. I went on a solar tour today and saw a few in action I like the fact that they can go outside the house.TAKE CARE
Nice your getting more and more watts all the time, Thanks for the video , Keep up the good work. Looks like i am moving so i wont be up dating for a while.
@dpdevil1 Hey sorry to hear you have to move.I hope you get a place with a ton of wind with little shade.we will be here when you get back.thanks for the great videos and comments.TAKE CARE
@Fearlessthinker Thank you for your advice I will look into it.I still have it hooked up with the other 5 for now.If I get that 3000w back in shape it will take some of the pressure off the 500s.once again thanks for your time and info.TAKE CARE
@MrLagros Hey thanks for the comment I still worry about the moisture outside but I like to have them out there rather than in my house.I will keep an eye on them..TAKE CARE
@vanhook2 Hey the red and black wires are #4 battery cables they should do the job.some are a little long for now but you know if you cut them down you will want to move something and they will be to short. At least thats the way it goes for me.TAKE CARE
@vanhook2 Hey I checked it today with my web cam at one end while looking at the other and I lose a little over 100w from panels to house. Its 10-3 solid direct burial wire.and its about 120ft. 35v from panels..TAKE CARE
@VWRabbitdiesel Yea 5 is not to bad but I have 7 if you count the 3000W PJ and the 250w sun.I think I almost have as many as you now.Do you think the PJ should be taken out or should I leave it in even though it only puts out 300w.the 5 sun 500s and the PJ are all hooked together as one.I dont know what will happen on a cool day.I still have 1000w to squeek out somewhere.TAKE CARE.
hmm..a weird thought but... even though you already have a AWESOME setup, have you considered some sort of cooling for your large array panels? 'adding water jackets to the back of panels' .. :P yea... i have to much time on my hands lol
@timmylc Hey I cannot believe the difference in my output on a cool day Its a few hundred watts easy.I bet the people with the solar on the roof lose a ton of power on a hot day.At least with my setup the wind can help cool them a little.Maybe a big DC powered fan would help me out.TAKE CARE
Can't wait to see what happens when you finally spring for the Outback, bet its over 3000.

Wish the SUN-1000g's would become available.
Was told today by a dealer that they still have a number of 'issues' to sort out before they go to market.
Would love to see an internal shot of the SUN 500 to compare construction/quality with the PowerJunk units.
I think your 3000w and my 1200w PJ are destined for the same fate - The Garbage bin!
Take care.

Nice Michael. I think your big inverter has a number of blown mosfets. Relatively easy to replace.

Love your setup... I think adding the box for the inverters was a good idea. Keep up the great work, love your videos.

Also, the wires feeding the inverter (reds & blacks) look too long & thin for your install. More VD. What size are they?

What size wire do you have running from the inverters to where it plugs in to your grid?
What is the distance 1 way? What is the voltage @ the inverter end & plug
end?
I'm thinking your problem is VD...:-) Voltage drop.
Also, you know the inverters specs are over rated.

Excellent :) 5 inverters is that a little to much :) Thats a good idea to add more inverters to get more power. looking forward to more video's.
