we swiss can't be experts in any warfare, because we didn't fight in any war. sure, back in ancient times but not in times like today. probably we are experts in training (usually 3 - 4 weeks per year) with a lot of waste of time and money, but i don't think we would have any chance in a "real conflict".
i love your passion for the M113. it's always a pleasure to work with this "oldtimers" in our yearly repetition course.
The Germans didn't have any "war" from 1933-1939 other than a small Spanish Civil War and they were "expert" when they began WW2. So the Swiss by doing things that rare tactically sound will be better in actual war than Americans expert at doing stupid things in Iraq/Afghanistan.

The idea is to EMULATE (DO) what the Swiss Panzergrenadiers (M113 Gavin Light Mechanized Infantry) do with American light infantry. The tongue-in-cheek remark about the Swiss fighting the Taliban is to shame us Americans to fighting smarter...

Needs moar Gavin.

This sure beats the hell out of those useless little "Growler" vehicles the USMC intends to field --- which are just sawed-off jeeps!
