  • One world,,,,,,we are all the same....i really love this video....

  • Incrível!!!

  • Why are they freaking out about a mirror? When my dog usually runs into one for fun.

  • so this video was posted 5 months ago and they're showing it TODAY on the Turkish news ? Man, they really are desperate -_-

  • hideous music. Really bad taste.

  • Such an innocent bunch, its good that they haven't seen the horrors of two World Wars and Hiroshima.

  • White man trying to shake his hand?? Na. White man passing his germs. Dayum. he like wtf? He knew something was up. Should have listened to his gut. buahaa.

  • 5:53 white man teaching them how to smoke drugs lololol

  • fuck, i'd bring a wireless stick, a generator, a tv, and my xbox, and show these niggas some COD black ops.

  • Thanks for posting this :)

  • Why the hell you think is beautifull to show them tons of our crap?

  • They're trying to rub the white color away from his skin :) 4:33

  • When the white man extends his hand, the tribalsman thinks he's pointing at something so he searches the ground and his body for it (maybe a parasite of some sort ?). They don't have the habit of shaking hands. 1:30

  • anyone knows the intro music name?

  • This sooo cool! I went to New Guinea in 1997 with a missionary out of Utah and stayed 4mo with the very same tribe on that very same river!!!!!!They are far more trusting and accustomed to the white man when we were there. it was the coolest moment of my life; being there .

  • It amuses me that people find the need to show approval of the merits of a simple existence on an INTERNET VIDEO. If it's such a wonderful, pure, paradise of an existence, why are you here on your computer?

  • He looks ashamed at 9:35 after spitting out the rice.

  • I like it so much!

  • KFC!!!!!!!!!

  • Next give them some good porn, and some quality lotion. I'd say give them a modern woman, but I don't think they could actually handle that. This is really awesome.

  • i showed this to my roomate and he started laughing telling me its fake....... Dont know what to believe.........

  • Well I have some bad news. Let me start, the first guy across the bridge is the same guy I ran into at Great Clips yesterday. He spent $12.75 for a haircut and had his beard trimmed. The necklace he is wearing is the same one that was sold on EBAY by Snoop Dogg last week for ($4578.67). The white dude has a ad on Craigslist under "Casual Encounters" which says" White Male looking for some black males to rub me". Thats right, this is just a bunch of HORNY men fulfilling a Craigslist fantasy.

  • Fake. Just a moving version of Photoshop.

  • When they hit themselves on the head they are saying "Winning"

  • There are many people claiming this tribe should have been left alone, or it would have been better if we had or whatever. But really, if we care in anyway about quality of life we are compelled to integrate them into our society. Their infant mortality rate is no doubt shocking, along with disease, early death, malnutrition, no modern medicine etc. While it is easy to look on and lament at that which is lost, and criticize modernity, we have gained so much and our lives are better for it.

  • Kinda sad to think that pretty much the whole world has been explored, there isint many places left to discover and have moments like this.

  • Any chance for a version with original audio?

  • @TrollMead Yeah, just do a search for it here on YT. There's 5 parts too.

  • Could definitely do without the ridiculously mismatched background music... and why does this feel so condescending?? A tribe meets *a civilized man* for the first time? Meh.

  • @BlueNikita23 The idea behind bringing in the background music was to allow for mass appeal. Looks like it worked =)

  • @BlueNikita23

Music is very beautiful and MATCHES video very well, making it more emotional. If you want a video without a music, you can find it easily- it is a first one in ''suggestions''.

  • @Paerlita Well, I'm glad the music worked for you... I wasn't trying to trash the video; I was just saying how it made me feel personally with the music. The presentation just didn't quite do it for me. But... their awe and the cultural clash was fascinating.

  • @BlueNikita23 1st of all dude, music is the universal language. 2ndly this song kicks ass. 3rdly the joyous nature of the song conveys a hope for humanity and stirs a feeling of wonderment at a beautiful human interaction in the hearts of the viewers. 4thly maybe the vid feels condescending to you because you are a condescing person. check yourself.

  • @juvenal660 1st of all dude, chill the f out. I thought it was a pretty good video. Are you its lawyer or something? Check yourself.

  • If that was rice porridge, then that's good eatin!

  • they had to introduce them to all the white refined food is causing us all the sicknesses and unbalances

  • @Yonisha They also got introduced to pills/medication for fatal diseases such as malaria. Search for the full documentary on YT for some ofthose scenes.

  • @Yonisha

So boiled rice is a white refined food ?

  • @markoreardon You certainly are one for making wild accusations. Where did all that come from and why do you think that's me? You're just making crazy man assumptions.

I say approx 10,000 years ago because the earliest signs of civilisation are in Çatal Höyük in Turkey.

  • Did they eat him?

  • The Rothschilds (which you spelled wrong i.e. 'Rothshields') have only been around since the 1700's. Civilization started approx 10,000 years ago. It has nothing got to do with the Rothschilds. Why do people like you always play the victim that corporations and the Rothschilds etc are why your life is shit? It's pathetic

  • @markoreardon Says you sitting in front of a computer. Hypocrite!

  • What I don't understand about these tribes is how they don't have the curiosity to expand and build civilisations.

Without trying to sound racist why is there no white tribes? Even in Africa (except North Africa) when the Europeans and Asians were inventing and exploring the globe the Africans were still living in tribes. Why is that?

  • @begood20000 The same can be said about ancient Persians and Greeks being far more advanced than the west European nomadic vikings 2000 years ago. Race has nothing to do with any of it - it's geographical conditions, topology, terrain, natural resources, etc.

  • @ahpacific Africa was full of natural resources, look up the 'Scramble for Africa', but you're right that it doesn't have anything to do with race. Although your argument about it being about 'geographical conditions, topology, terrain, natural resources, etc' is flawed. This is because in America why did the native Americans not flourish and the Europeans did? They were both in America with 'the same geographical conditions, topology, terrain, natural resources, etc'.

  • @ahpacific I think why one group of people were more creative and innovative is as much of a mystery as why we have consciousness. It's like in the beginning of 2001 a Space Odyssey- Why did that one monkey pick up the bone and use it as a weapon while it never occurred to the other monkeys? That blows my mind.

It's would never occur to certain people to use the terrain or natural resources to their benefit while to others it would. I guess it's just intelligence.

  • @begood20000 It has everything to do with what I mentioned. The Europeans came here already far more advanced than the native Americans so that example is silly. If you study history & human civilization you will quickly find your answer. The dawn of civilization occurred around regions where it was possible to maintain a constant food & water supply allowing more time for creativity/imagination & abstract thought & activities that weren't immediately linked to survival.

  • Respond to this video...

  • @begood20000 I love that movie but you have to understand that monkey was the first in that group to do it - but if he hadn't used it that way - the next monkey group would have - it's kind of like the invention of the automobile - it was inevitable given what we knew at the time - the fact that this guy did it before the next guy is more trivial than it is significant. I wouldn't make the same case with pure thought though - like theoretical physics - etc.

  • @ahpacific There is nothing to say that the next monkey in the group would have done the same thing but in another group maybe.Look at today's world, there are only a small amount of the world's population that are driving forward technological & medical advances that would never occurred to the majority of the population. Would the average man have thought how to build a television? The same reason it doesn't occur to them is the same reason another monkey wouldn't have used the bone as a weapon

  • If you are born in the Jungle you would be the same. And to tell you the truth you would be more happy this way. Instead of the everyday stress. These people can live for 80 years average and we the town guys for 32 years average because of the poison we live in and eat and the medicine

  • @markoreardon Yawn. Go back to the stone age, or some dirty hippie fest with that irrational neotribalist white guilt.

  • You know what i think of youtub e employee or fag admin??

    Fat, lazy and stupid!!!

  • this is a-ma-zing =)

  • Comment removed

  • I'm so high.

  • @ThePizzaGuy92 same

  • Does anyone know what the original programme is called? I'd like to watch it.

  • Please please pleaaaase tell me the name of the first song! I used to have it but lost it and can't remember! D: I really want it back.

  • @Naxer84 That first song is called Yeha-noha by Sacred Spirits off the Pure Moods album, track 12. (Or at least that's where I heard it first.) Great song. Ironically indigenious American Indian are singing it. It's on youtube.

  • WOW....

  • What a wonderful video. I wish I had been there with them. I wish the Papua New Guinea tribe the best.

  • This is exactly what we would be like meeting E.T.'s for the first time!

  • There goes the neighborhood!

  • actors

  • Then Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton contacted them, and they trained them what white men really think about black peoples. ..........

  • They must have been mind blown at the mirror. The only time these people get to see how themselves look like is from reflections from the water. Otherwise they truly saw how their own face looked like in their life. Amazing

  • baby at 11:10 is so cute=)

  • I'm torn between their/our joys of discovery and the loss of their great civilizations, however inevitable. This is a wonderfully enlightening video, both ways.

  • wonder why they hit their heads when they eat?

  • They look like Republicans upon hearing they might have to raise taxes on the rich to get the financial house in order.

  • @srugel44 Hahahaha Typical demorat drone........

  • @fenugreek I can only assume you were even more embarrased by the comment you just left that you felt forced to remove it. "I personally find this video embarrassing"

  • the mirror reaction impressed me

  • wonderful! to actually see this interaction. Thanks Harris----now i know what the original explorers must have felt when they met the native people of any land. The music is super-- a combination of an ancient ditty and modern instruments and rythm! Super experience!

  • What were they eating that they kept hitting their heads? Pop rocks or something?

  • @mechflesh This is a blind guess, but I think it's a gesture that it tastes good. Similar to someone slapping their knee when they find something extremely funny.

  • Boobs at 10:24

  • As I recall, Native Americans were "finished off" by Americans, not Europeans. That is what happens when cultures collide--the greater culture eats the lesser. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone, from anywhere, not descended from conquest.

  • Mr Harris? Yes Mr Harris needs to learn to edit videos.

would it not have been a better video had Mr Harris not put the fucked up sound track?

  • I have a man crush on Sam Harris.

  • No, not a fake.. but just not as old as it pretends.

  • This is not footage from a camera from 1976. Even Star Wars had to be remastered to remove the scratches. Sorry, this is a fake.

  • haha, mind blown towards the end.

  • Liberals, just because they are dark-skinned and tribal, that doesn't mean they're somehow less likely to be violent, superstitious, and savage. In fact, it almost surely means the opposite. If you time-traveled to Medieval Europe, would you assume a simple white peasant was noble, peaceful, and morally shrewd?

  • @DerDrache, You are aware that nearly every encounter Europeans had with indigenous populations outside of Europe resulted in the extermination or enslavement of that population? It was precisely those words, they're 'violent, superstitious, and savage', that they used to demonize and murder them all-- to murder the Native Americans, for example. Moreover, Medieval Europe was not filled with violent savages--at least not compared to the USSR, the Nazis, or the enslavement of Blacks.

  • I hope this isn't fake. This almost made me break down and cry. As a black person I can only imagine this is how my ancestors might have been seeing a white person for the first time. Only this did not end in enslavement or negativity. The genuine shock and awe on their faces. So many things about this bring up so many feelings and emotions. Most of them feel as new to me as they are to them.

  • Lucky for them, this time the visitors were not conquistadors! BTW I too sometimes when looking in the mirror I get just as scared LOL.

Beautiful video, thanks for uploading it.

  • what a beautiful video.

  • They were/are beautiful human beings. Let us hope that are still living full happy lives free of the trappings of civilization and religion. Thanks for posting.

  • ludzie som wszędzie jednakie.

  • Beautiful, innocent, pure, beings, living in harmony with the universe -- uncorrupted (so far) by so-called civilisation -- religion, politics, money, commerce and greed. .

  • @synergyavw isn't that assuming a lot from the outside?

  • @synergyavw What a load of crap. People living in these conditions aren't pure or innocent. Infanticide, murder, cannibalism and constant warfare are the norm for this level of development. The noble savage is some sort of non sense cooked up by marxists.

  • @synergyavw

Civilizations are beautiful, both modern and old, lets not be too hypocritical.

They both have good things but it's nice too see humanity in it's purest form.

  • I bet these guys have a zero carbon footprint ;)

  • Lots of controversy on if this is fake or slightly exaggerated though...

  • @BrokenBard I have to say the guy was pretty good at striking a match if that was his first time. Better than many woman. (sorry girls)

  • Interesting, I did not think there were uncharted land left on this earth! How beautiful!

  • This is beautiful and amazing! Thanks for sharing!

  • wow, just wow

  • The music you use just makes it comical.

  • @edeneye808 : I absolutely and strongly disagree. I thought the music was perfect for such a first encounter.

  • Are these people waiting four Jesus to?

  • Amazing footage.

The music isn't bad, just most people in here are care more about there image than the purpose of this story.

There is nothing wrong with meeting and trying to give new knowledge to tribal people because it is part of anthropological and in the long run biological evolution.

  • The fatalist in me can't help but think this tribe would be better off without ever meeting "white" man. And I am surprised at the bravery of both groups of people. Were the white explorers confident that the tribes-people would not kill them? And the bravery of the tribes people to touch these obviously weird looking people (he could be diseased or evil). The limits of human trust always amazed me.

  • I find their reactions very revealing of the human condition in general - when confronted with things they don't understand. If this was a passing one off meeting I would expect they might have a mystical explanation behind the technology presented to them. In other words they will probably try and integrate these new experiences into their pre-existing culture and beliefs.

Longer exposure (education) would serve, as it usually does, to demystify and show the material nature of the technology.

  • It is so sad,... why does he give and show them all that stuff? I don´t know,.. I have a different feelings about it, but I don´t see it like the best solution,... It seems to me, that he stained their clearness and connection with roots and nature... btw - the music is wonderfull :)

  • To resist shooting yourself put it on mute...

  • Amazing footage!

    Dreadful music!

  • If this doesn't go viral I'll be disappointed in (ironically) humanity.

  • Is the need to cover up your genitals actually a genetic trait of humans, and not a cultural one?

  • @engaerik yeah probably, i mean i think it's kinda down the same alley as why our pain receptors fire off extremely when we get hit in the balls, it's just a defense mechanism of our reproductive system.

  • @MasterDebator809 That is probably partly right, but if that was all there was to it we would probably have something more solid than some thin fabric or leaves. Maybe infections are more efficiently resisted. The genitals are, after all, an easy entrance to our insides.

  • @engaerik oh i never thought about that, haha. ur probably right, it's probably a bit of a combo between infections as well as just a bit of protection of ur twig n berries.

  • @engaerik Well, it can come from shame, but I'm thinking it can also come from need. They walk in the forest and it can be used as protection, maybe. I'm sure they have realized it hurts when something hits the genitals. Just a guess.

  • Hands down greatest video I've ever seen.

  • Whoever had the idea of adding the background music to the video is a master dumb-ass!

  • @imsoto then watch the version without music, genius.

  • @imsoto Clearly you're watching this video sober.

  • Fluoride is a neurotoxin. It affects your brain. It has been linked to hypothyroidism, dental fluorosis, reduction of IQ, calcification of the pineal gland (early onset of puberty in girls), osteoarthritis, bone brittleness, and osteosarcoma (bone cancer).

The city of Toronto has been fluoridating its water supply for almost 40 years and Vancouver has never fluoridated. Yet Vancouver has a lower cavity rate than Toronto does.

    PLEASE WAKE UP!

  • banging the side of one's head is Papa New Guinean for "needs salt."

  • How fucking cool is this?

  • Priceless. At 05:00 They want to see if the white stuff comes off, and the white guy thinks it's some sort of greeting ritual and rubs them back.

  • @Habalabama I think he was just getting a feel for them, you know, to make them more comfortable.

  • wonderful and sad at the same time.... white rice.... how nutritious and wonderful (not).

  • Fake.

  • What about the prime directive?

  • Well at least this encounter went a little better then the last one. LoL, bad joke I know. Cool video if real. Sad to hear that this maybe one of the last areas not polluted by garbage economies and industrialization.

  • @LambdaQuarks Wait a moment, listen to yourself. They're living naked in the jungle. You and I live in a house with air conditioning and a computer with internet. These are the products of industrialization and healthy economies.

  • @Zimnyification

This computer can't scratch my balls. Sorry but you can keep these things and this BS government. You can't fart with out breaking a law these days and I don't know how old you are but in all my 28 years of life I have never seen a healthy economy. It is always polluted with the poor working to making the rich richer. Then again, you have an ipod so it is okay.

  • @LambdaQuarks Healthy economy (although an economy that could be made better by removal of cumbersome regulations and laws) when compared to say... those of Ivory Coast, Columbia, Afghanistan, et al. If you'd like to be one with nature in the jungles of Africa, be my guest, but I've got a small inclination you wouldn't. I'm 18, by the way.

  • @Zimnyification

I wouldn't exactly like to fight for food everyday either. I'm not delusional pretending here like these people lay on hammocks all day enjoying the weather. However, we have become a slave in a world controlled by supply and demand. Even though the supply is enough for all, those who can't pay won't get it. That is really screwed up if you ask me. Some parts of the world are worse then others, no doubt. Maybe I'm just a dream but we need something in between.

  • @Zimnyification Yeah and we have more diseases as a result of our products of industrialization. I'd rather live a healthy life with nature than watch family and friends become crippled and disabled from pollution, pharmaceutical drugs, vaccines, and all the other consequences of our way of life.

  • @midtra52 Be my guest, but I don't think you mean it.

  • @Zimnyification Depends on the person though. I like camping and nature and hate being indoors.

  • And then everyone died of smallpox, the end.

  • what's up with this cheesy music? where's the original audio?????

  • One of their men is pregnant!!!

  • I am one of the kids in this film, after this exciting event I returned with the white men to europe, where I learned your language and about your culture, now I will return to my people and teach them all that I have learned, thank you!

  • Great, now they have deforestation and dumb tourists with runny noses to look forward to. Still, they had a chance to try some uncle ben's!

  • What kind of cloth was that the children used for covering. I'm not convinced this is authentic.

  • Did James Cameron direct this?

  • lol so cautious

why do they think white people are radioactive, I dont think it would be any different than touching a pig or something

  • Thank you for sharing Mr. Harris!

  • @pianomatteo Ahem, DOCTOR Harris :)

  • Quick, someone preach some religion to these corrupt, immoral people before it's too late!

  • @MarsyasX1 LMAO

  • @MarsyasX1 They are already religious and worship on their own level... Unlike you obviously...

  • @370ztuner I love that you think you're dissing me by calling me irreligious.

  • Comment removed

  • this was my same reaction when i was first handed an iphone.

  • "I would love to purchase your piece of land for.... one dollar. Just sign here."

  • Video would have been better without the music. Why not leave the original audio?

  • If only they had left this tribe alone they would still be living the way they have for hundreds to thousands of years.

I'm glad we now know better.

  • 4:10 "Me? No, you take it"

  • The hepatosplenomegaly evident in those children is called Kwashiorkor, which is due to a deficiency in protein but not in calories.

  • That was 35 years ago... is anyone still alive?

  • @tabibitosama it's because they have mal-nutrition. Im not sure what inside them is making that happen but I know it's mal-nutrition.

  • Imagine no religion...

  • Why're the kids' stomachs so big?

  • I wonder how they would reacted to seeing an iphone.

  • @theanimegod The same way those white men would have reacted seeing it.

  • Now they are addicted to sugar.

  • Isn't this basically the interaction white people had with Australian Aborigines that killed them? I believe it was lacking immunity to the common cold which killed most inhabitants.

  • @opreese just devil's advocate, but you don't really know how they practice dental hygiene. plus they dont drink soda or any other corrosives...

  • Did they contract any disease?! WTF!! There is a reason why the uncontacted tribe in Brazil were not met in person because they might contract disease of us "civilized" people, similar to how the Native Americans contracted small pox from the European settlers.

  • @blognewb That was the 70's, tribes are left untouched now if possible. SO much stuff was done then that was unbelievably ignorant, even more than today. Just as one example, middle income educated suburbian families would ride in a car with their infants in their laps. It just wasn't the culture than that is is today.

  • Lol, I like how the white guy in the beginning reaches out his hand expecting a handshake. They don't know what a hand shake is, you silly fuck.
