  • Is it wrong that whenever I hear this song end the first thing I think of is "Life sucks sometimes..." (Real fans will get it. :D )

  • Wow! I'd never listen that song forever? 12 years later? Good times, Good Times. :)

  • I can't take him seriously until his balls drop 0__0

  • @kaneskiba na kaleni suka!!!!!

  • cool song

  • Taproot - Self-titled, One of my top 5 albums up there with Rage (self-titled) and Deftones - Around the Fur,

  • @Trax0r1 agreed!

  • Shit! Cleverbot adviced me to listen to this song. World is going nuts.

But still I like his advice)

  • да! великолепная группа,, и да зря я её игнорировал на протяжение пол года

  • badass tune

  • 7 people can't handle the best chorus of all times!

  • \m/ AWASOME \m/

  • God I love them so much... too intense to even handle!

  • Saw them on the 18th.. and then got arrested after. But it was such a good show!

  • @TheEnso i saw them last night n smoked wif them =]]

  • Woo seeing them in 10 days!!! Can't wait almost 11 years to the day sense seeing them at my first concert =]

  • my uncle used to sing for this band before they got famous

  • YES!!!!

  • Sometimes I wish it was the late 90s again. I wish I was 5 years old again because I miss the music, the clothes and all the cool stuff from that time. I'm nearly 18 now and all the hot music I hear is awful. I'm now turning to music like this so I can find something that makes me feel good. Most of it happens to come from around the junction between 20th and 21st century, and when I look back on it, I wonder why I never felt it as much as I do now

  • kinda sounds like grunge. hmmm.... I LOVE IT!!!

  • God I REALLY miss nu metal... hell, I really music good music that was coming out in the late 90's, early 2000's. This whole album is so completely amazing.

  • Ahhh can't wait for sat

  • They are so much better live!

  • I was in 8th grade when I heard this, love Taproot

  • I can remember the very first time I heard this song. 3 words: BLEW. ME. AWAY.

  • woah...this sounds a lot like the old taproot...most bands from the 1990's aren't good anymore

  • @Freedish911 This IS old Taproot. This was released in 1999 on the Upon Us album.

  • This is my alarm in the morning

that open riff give me the full energy what I need everyday ;D!

  • This is my alarm in the morning

that open riff give me the full energy what I need everyday ;D!

  • who here think Three Days Grace and taproot should work together?

  • who here think 3DG and taproot should work together?

  • Who here is both a 3 Days Grace and Taproot fan.If you think It'll be cool to have them both play a song together that they probably make

  • Taproot is superior to most bands these because of the simple fact that they haven't compromised their style or sound to fit the mainstream to sell more records. Their sound has been consistent since the late ninties and continues to bring happiness to my ears.

  • They're only good album was gift IMO

  • @Sailor1010

yeah Gift was amazing, I can't believe the very next album sucked

  • I started out liking this band after seeing them live. They had a lot of energy and the got a decent pit. Their vocalist got off stage to help get the pit started which was neat. However the more metal I listen to and the more I listen to these guys, the more they sounds like a bunch of whining high school boys. HAIL TRUE METAL!

  • I miss the 90's- before autotune, punk-pop, and incessant whining.

  • No whining and no flippin' autotune... I'll take this kind of rock any day of the week.

  • YES! These guys were the type of music ive been looking for for years

  • The only good song they every had. I tried to like em but their songs suck.

  • These guys kick ass

  • These guys are play in chicago, illinois at bobby mcgees on november 20th! My band, Tomorrow Has Arrived, will be playing right before them.. Good times!

  • คิดถึงยุค นู เมทัล สิบปีทำไมมันผ่านไปไวอย่างงี้? (สตีเฟ่น หล่อมากกกกกกกก)

  • fuck your approval..hows that bitch????

  • shitty korn wannabees...

  • @Ulfification they were around the same time, if not before korn start, they dont even sound like korn, with exception of the voice

  • i listen to these guys since 2001 they have changed some but they are still good in my opinion

  • God metal is so gay nowadays. THIS SHIT WAS AWESOME, never let me down. It was just like an OCEAN OF FUCKING ENERGY, now metal is just fucking irritating. BRING BACK NU METAL

  • @Idkfawin32 you're just listening to the wrong stuff, which is surprising because I figure someone who's been listening to metal this long would know what the good stuff is, then again you like nu metal, so maybe that's the problem.

  • Stephen looks younger

  • GOOOOOODDDDDD....

  • its almost 10 years without numetal pfff actually its 8..but you can see some shaddy guys wearing dvs with their hoods on , their beard dyed yellow , their DCSHOES and their carhartt jeans carrying their mp3 player with numetal playing without anyone knowing from which planet they are :D i'm proud of being one of them

  • when i first heard the vocals i thought to myself somebody give this guy some nasal spray

  • fuckin love this song

  • I-remember-i-saw-these-guys-at-Saint-Andrews-Hall-in-Detroit-and-they-fucking-rocked-even-bands-like-Stained-and-P.O.D-off-the-stage!!

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahhahahaha :D genious the music i used to like

  • This song does someting special to me!! I love this song!! Glad I've downloaded the album couple of days ago(Y) Better late than never right?? Taproot, one o' my favourites!!

  • For some reason, this song is pretty kick ass when you're playing Dead Island...

  • This takes me back.

  • the one guy mark wakefeild ( from linkin park before chester became the singer) ex lead singer of linkin park is the manager of this band.

  • is that a H..R, giger 7 string....

  • This isn't Nu Metal it's very good early 2000's Hard Rock

Nu Metal is Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, and other bands with rap type lyrics or beats

  • @tjfats2 It is nu metal, it really is... But, nowadays, you could name this metalcore.

  • @EduardvanBeinum It's funny how nowadays bands are labelled with the term "Screamo" like Escape the Fate when bands like Taproot, Deftones were one of the first to alternate the singing and screaming but it wasn't called screamo in 2000. This more like alternative metal with hints of emocore. Modern metalcore is metallic hardcore with melodic riffs.

  • Comment removed

  • @tjfats2 yes they are taproot raps too and has beats listen to their music more not all nu-metal bands rap and has beats just look at old school staind and korn.

  • These guys remind me of Mudvayne a bit

    Both bands are excellent though

  • muy buena banda esta !!

  • yeah old bands like papa roach, limp bizkit, lp, the offspring and lot more are fucked right now with music. They lost the essence of what they began with and used to be good music.

  • @CaptainDirtFace Hey boss, not to start a war, but I need to correct you. Gift was not their first album. Gift was their first independent release. Their EP was called Something More Than Nothing and it was produced by Fred Durst. The band didn't like that Durst gave them no creative freedom so they split and recorded Gift. Something More Than Nothing was really raw and not as refined as Gift, but it was awesome. BTW, Fred Durst is a whiny piece of shit. Wes was Bizkit's only real talent.

  • I think that poem is the only cool song for this band

  • @alan999100 I think that everybody hate you

  • This begs for a misheard lyrics video.

  • Yall are definitely forgeting one of the best 2000ish Nu-metal bands, SPINESHANK. So underated =/

  • Too bad new metal was so short-lived :( Those were awesome

  • it's sad but 75% these cool bands from 199x now recording shitty pop rock albums....

  • Not Taproot.Their last album "Plead the Fifth" is very good .IMHO

  • @SHEV073 one of their better albums 2, but not as good as blue sky research

  • @SHEV073 You should include Deftones into that equation as well. :)

  • @SHEV073 FUCK YEAH! :DD

  • @eMILBULLsPL Taproot don't follow that trend. Every album has been fantastic.

  • @eMILBULLsPL Yeah, like Incubus.

  • @eMILBULLsPL Couldn"t agree more!

  • @eMILBULLsPL The real travesty is that Limp Bizkit is the only one that still sounds the same. At least Staind went back to their roots again, Linkin Park is saying that their doing the same also :] and atleast KoRn's dubstep album wasn't 100 percent terrible, could have went with a worse genre than that, like bubble gum pop Japan crap

  • blonde beard huh...

  • i grad a couple years b4 but i agree it was an awesome time for music, i loved discovering new bands like taproot. 90% of metal today sounds excatly the same, bands back then had alot of originality

  • This video clearly represents how headbanging has changed in years. Nowadays you have this crap/teabagging stuff and hair twirl, but back then, most of the radio rock/metal of 2000 were doing that little kick.

  • graduated same time as you bro...waaay agreed metal was so much better than the crap they got on now...well 95ish% of it anyway. stuff was consistently good then though.

  • Saw these guys live back in February, best live show I've ever been to.

  • Ah nu metal...lol

  • those 3 bald dudes look like they played good football in high school lol. It's cool how they're not your usual stereotype rockers

  • @thundertower Haha yeah, what i liked about this bands was their clothes. They dressed well, and made good music. Just excelent.

  • This is one of the reasons why I love my hometown the D

  • ya'll. this is fucking OVER TEN years old. just so you know. I've been in a wheelchair for 10 years NOW, this was released when I was like a junior in high school. so that would be like fucking 15 years old. yeah, this is when taproot fucking ROCKED!

  • used to listen to this song over & over when I was young.. Now I don't even listen to rock anymore but this brings back so many great (and bad) memories! Taproot was a damn good band

  • @gazzje same here.

  • thumbs up if you are still listening to this in 2011 ;D

  • STEVE RICHARDS FROM TAPROOT HAS A KNACK TO MAKE FOLKS FEEL GOOD WITH HIS WORDS... TAPROOT IS A PRODUCT OF HIM TRYING TO SUCCEED AS A ROCKING DUDE HE HAS MAD HEART AND DONT FORGET IT

    THANKS STEVE

    FROM UR FRIEND JOE ROBISON

  • back when american metal was good...

  • Taproot is a great Band ...

  • They need to re-release this song and push it everywhere. It would get constant air play. This here is by far better than the garbage thats on the airwaves now.

  • this song made me brake my F5 button

  • Just saw these guys a few days ago. This song is absolutely BOSS live. :)

  • Even after 10 years, this song still reminds me of how I feel sometimes.

  • every Taproot album has been good, its just that some of you cant understand evolution when you hear it. oh god forbid a band tones down its sound a bit, who cares? the overall message is what matters. you fairweather fans mean nothing, long live Taproot.

  • @peanutbuttercrunc100

right on, i appreciate every thing they've done, they are certainly one of my favorite bands of all time. Of course the vocals stand out, but the band as a whole is great, it's too bad the media machine has agenda's that don't include real talent anymore...seriously, rap is popular, rap is right up there with shit country...

    Taproot...always good

  • Mark Wakefield manages Taproot, he was the old singer for LP when they were called XERO

  • I really could not wonder why this band went through so much musical directions. They went and made two good albums then changed to something completely different that is opposite this song. They did the same thing like LP but failed. They then went and made some album that was soft but tried to put some hard riffs in it but again failed. And now they came out with another album that is WAY better then Blue Sky Research and OLRH. I prefer Plead The Fifth more than those two. I actually like it.

  • @LpCool19 Taproot's previous albums

Gift - Awesome - Commercial faliure

    Welcome - OK - Success

Blue Sky Research - Sucked - Moderate Success

Our Long Road Home - Sucked - failure

Plead the Fifth - AWESOME AGAIN!!!

    thanks !!! really thanks dude!!!

  • Their new album, Plead the Fifth, is AWESOME :D

  • You say Taylor Swift, I say Nickelback

You say Jonas Brothers, I say Green Day

You say Lady Gaga, I say Evanescence

You say Miley Cyrus, I say Taproot

You say T-Pain, I say Three Days Grace

You say Lil’ Wayne, I say Linkin Park

You say Justin Bieber, well… FUCK YOU

92% of teens have turned to pop and hip-hop. If you are part of the 8% that still listens to real music, copy and paste this message to 5 other place. DONT LET ROCK DIE !. THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE

  • @lilalindahouse Please cut it out with that shit.

  • I am absolutely RAPING the replay button, and ignore the one dislike, I missed the like button while having an eargasm.

  • The Good Old Nu-Metal Days!

  • I love the lyrics of that song :) Again and again is just perfect!

  • I was a Junior in HS when this was out. Hands down there best album...I still play this shit out till this day..No really I do. It's on my ipod

  • shit I just went back to being 16 again (and again)... *3am drunken nostalgia trip*

  • why is stephen not my husband? fuckin shiz :[

  • gift was one of the best nu metal albums ever.their lyrics r amazing

  • this song is the music of my life!!i just wanna say one more thing : TAPROOT 4 EVER AND EVER!

  • Thanks for bringing this back to youtube! I always used to look this up and watch it and the one day...poof...it was gone. Now its back! \m/ \m/

  • Good music like this just doesn't exist anymore, Taproot lost my respect when they came out with "Poem" But this song/album was amazing.

  • saw these guys last night and omg they were freaking amazing!

  • Taproot must back to this music, plead the fifth is ok but not the same as this. This is not melodic guitar but freakin out guitar!!

I heard this song yesterday for the first time, does anyone know wich band this kind of music makes please respons!

  • @MrBreakingBenjamin Taproot is Alternative Metal just like Breaking Benjamin, RED, 10 Years, Janus, Chevelle, The Deftones.

This song is from their album Gift which was a Nu Metal album, not Alternative Metal. If you like this song look up bands like Korn, Static-X, Adema, Linkin Park, One Minute Silence, those are Nu Metal bands.

  • @neverbleedtre it brings back crazy memories of the good old times in elementary school, just play pokemon all day lol, and before bush fucked up the economy and great employment of the 90's/early 2000's. and yea ur right. before guidos/guidettes took over the media.

  • I'm not trying to be funny, but this song is the greatest fucking song ever written by any fucking band ever in the entire fucking history of the whole fucking world.

I'm sorry if I said fuck too many times. This song gets me fucking pumped and it fucking deserves all the critical acclaim it fucking gets.

  • Remember seeing these guys headline a show at the Bash on Ash in Tempe back in 01. Deadsy, Dredg and Taproot. Great concert, still wear the tee on the weekend.

  • Damn good music.

  • thanx for adding this video bro was lookin all over for it brings back crazy memories before all my boys turned into materialistic faggots and stuck there noses up every pussy that gave em a look when everything was fuckin great

  • I miss this stuff!

  • Damn, i use to own this album. I will have to get it again.

  • Never knew this song had a music video, nice! Thanks for the upload!

  • It's about time somebody uploaded this video.

  • dude im 16 years old and i really wonder why this stuff doesnt exist in modern bands . . . i mean this is awesome . . .i love all taproot . . .theres not one song by them i dont like :)

  • Classic. I used to sneak out to my dad's car and pop this cd in and jam for hours.

  • great song.

  • dam is it really ten years old now... i can remember seeing these guys at ozzfest. i had just graduated, it was 2001. i was reading the roster, and i was like hell yea i get to see pantera, static x, and who the fuck is this taproot? i bet they suck.... hahahah but man when they came on stage i was like WHAT THE FUCK... they were badass.. but their musical direction has changed so much that i dont listen anymore. but DAMN that first album gift was awesome. back in 2001, before metal died..

  • @CaptainDirtFace Woah woah woah. Back the fuck up. BEFORE METAL DIED?! Metal is still an ever thriving genre bud. It's just gotten heavier, the way it should be.

  • @CaptainDirtFace When did metal die? Last time I checked Lamb of God is still releasing albums, Chimaira's new album drops real soon. Ten years before 2001 and now ten years later in 2011 heavy metal has never been close to anywhere near dead.

  • @CaptainDirtFace Yeah, all this bands were awesome in their own right. Like kORN, Papa Roach, System of a down, Dope, Powerman 5000, Ill niño, Static X and many many other. But yeah aroudn 2004 or 2005 New Metal began to decay and then came the hardcore scene, which is good too, but not from my teenage years. I remember watching this when i was in highschool or so. I say it again, pretty cool times.

  • @CaptainDirtFace Enjoy your life of being trapped in the music of your teens. The rest of us will be enjoying new Taproot and other awesome new music =)

  • Good old new metal times. Around 2000. FUCKING GOOD FEELING MUSIC.

  • How old are you? This is really old stuff lol.

  • @TheWarcalf I know , but it is my favorite music video.

  • @TheWarcalf Yeah this is so old. STFU

  • @TheWarcalf

and ?! ... its awesome idiot

  • @TheWarcalf this is the GOOD stuff dude....remember that. Taproot hail back from an era full of good bands such as Deftones, Korn, Incubus, Snot and (HED) Pe just to name a few..

  • @TheWarcalf Good to know someone knows Who TAPROOT is!! These YOUNG KIDS dont have a clue!! LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!
