  • gay ass MUSIC

  • When they casted some of the actors who played Baltimore Police Officers, were they based on how cops in Baltimore really are? I thought some of those cops on there was some bitch mades.Overzealous ass pigs and shit..............

  • awww i love Ms. Emma!!!

  • where can i find the song thats in the begining from 0:12-0:52??

  • I thought Avon was based on the actor who played the Priest who gave Cutty advice in The Wire, Melvin Williams?

  • @PriceySaysSmokeCrack

thats because he was. none of the characters in the wire are based on any single person. while most of the barksdale character is on barksdale, simon compiled bits of others underworld fiquires into that character. same with carcetti, levy, rawls and stringer

  • @malleymyster dont forget omar

  • @PriceySaysSmokeCrack Melvin williams wsa the guy who Avon slinged for basically. He was a step above.

  • @PriceySaysSmokeCrack Barksdale was Melvin Williams Lieutenant. Nathan Avon Barksdale

  • @PriceySaysSmokeCrack melivin williams is the real marlo

  • @PriceySaysSmokeCrack yes both of them make up "avon barksdale"...nathan barksdale was also a boxer...just like the avon barksdale in the wire

  • @vboy...i feel u on that ...my favorite urban show too, but they coulda definitely done a better job portrayn sum a the police corruption that goes on...i also thought they shoulda showed more bout the political corruption that goes on to get the d0pe into the U.S.

  • met dis niggah 2 days ago he came up da skool for reall ole canton now its f.a.s.t came up forreal shared his story dis one real niggah no doubt

  • The Wire character is also based a little bit on David Barksdale from Chicago. The original leader of the Black Disciples. The Wire isn't supposed to be exactly based on him. It's fiction.

  • Da avon lady lol daz fuck'd up! 301 bitch!

  • detroit stand up

  • thanks for uploading

  • fuck what this nigga say. the wire is the best show ever put on t.v .I grew up on the south side of chicago 79st. killa ward. and the wire reminds me of home. it could have taken place in any getto in the u.s so be happy Wood played you good if not no body outside of baltimore would give a fuck about you or your bullshit true story so make what you can off the fame but remember we only give a fuck because we saw it on the wire

  • @privateeyes4u, Im not taking sides..because I LOVED the wire.....and your right...only reason we care about these dudes is because of the Wire.....but the only problem I have with the series is they didn't go in depth when it came to the CORRUPTION of the Cops. Yea....they were dirty and Mc Nulty broke a gang of rules.....but no talk of the police extortion, police hit men and contract killers? Come on now.......but then again...a Cop made the series so what do you expect.

  • @VallaeBoy dude was a journalist.

  • @washboardalex , no shit. and like many journalist.....he only told one side of the story when it came to how DIRTY the game can get. (still a great series)

  • @VallaeBoy good point they could make a whole new show about just the dirty copsand the shit they get into

  • @VallaeBoy There were some dirty cops that were shown, but as with everything in The Wire, it's never one-sided. It's not as simple as good and bad. Besides, the work is about the failure of institutions, man vs. machine, and telling a whole bunch of bad cop stories is unnecessary and would weaken the story somewhat. They just showed police corruption where it served the story or collided with the characters. Besides, they already made a show about police corruption. It's called The Shield.

  • @sestsa , "Besides, they already made a show about police corruption. It's called The Shield." If you say so but a TV show experimental division of the Los Angeles Police Department set up in the fictional Farmington district ("the Farm") of Los Angeles, " is a POOR substitute for the reality and level of Police corruption in REAL LIFE Baltimore. "There were some dirty cops that were shown"...and my point was there wasn't enough(and Im not alone)....."its never one sided"..never said it was.

  • @VallaeBoy The Shield is based on the real life Rampart scandal (especially the CRASH spec ops unit of the LAPD). Just cause they changed names and took artistic license, doesn't make the show any less relevant. The police fucked up enough in The Wire. They were often incompetent, they made unethical arrests and falsified charges, they used illegal wiretaps on occasion. Besides, the politicians were openly taking bribes.

  • @sestsa "Its not as simple as good and bad"..tell something I dont know. "Besides, the work is about the failure of institutions, man vs. machine" and here I thought the whole series was an advertisement for the Baltimore Ravens! "and telling a whole bunch of bad cop stories is unnecessary"... who wanted them to do that...I just wanted a bit MORE realism when dealing with the drug war in Baltimore(meaning we saw how down and dirty the drug lords got...but not AS much with the cops)

  • @sestsa , which I think would have strengthen the story even more(although its still my all time favorite urban TV show......dont ever mention Micheal Chiklis to me again ok??)

  • @VallaeBoy It was written by an ex-cop and a crime journo who spent a year with the force. They just wrote what they saw and what they know.

I don't get all the sarcasm, though. Why you so mad? Yeah, there are corrupt cops, but it seems to me it's like complaining that Big Love doesn't have enough stories about monogamous Mormons. That's just not their focus.

  • fuck baltimore

  • @polistyrenejassband fuck u bitch b more go hard

  • dudes an asshole...nigga old as fuckin dirt and lost his position in the game decades ago but his mentality is so fucked up that he still think he doin it big.

  • This video was awesome!!!!

  • BMORE Stand Up!

  • hell yea!
