Great playing my brother in the Lord.I have a Rogue violin bass and a Rogue LX100 bass and I love both of them.I have only been playing about two years and drums for 36 years.I have a long way to go on the bass,but I have been playing in our church services though.Right now,I am just playing notes with a few simple walk ups and walk downs,nothing fancy.But time and practice helps and I will improve along with God's help.Keep it up for Jesus my friend.

MAN THAT WAS SICK!! Just wonderring, i wanted to start learning Bass and do you think its alright to start with 4 string bass or jump to advanced with 6 string?

its all on preference (and budget). Even if you started with four strings, you'd have to get acquainted with 6.

6 string doesn't necessarilty mean advanced, look at some of the most advanced players (wooten, pastorious, miller, etc) mostly play 4. For gospel I would say for gospel the B string is a big help. The C string is mostly for chording, runs and stuff like that. I would say if you dont want to start with a 4 at least go with a 5 because the 6 string neck can be a bit intimidating even for advanced players.
