I like planes. But I was thinking whilst watching this. Of all those people working in mundane and dirty jobs in the 1950s in our small country. Going down pits or working in factories and they were vast majority of tax revenue for the government.
It's a shame that these projects bore no reality to the daily lives of the people who earned the money that enabled the government to squander billions.
@telemetry9 global politics are like a big school yard ie the 1 with the biggest stick rules the roost. at that time nukes were the big sticks the tsr2 was designed to fly to moscow and whack them with a big stick. which by its very existance disuaded the russians from hitting us with their big stick. ie the big bully is less likely to hit you if jhe knows you can hit him back just as hard.
please explain to me why keeping nuclear war at bay doesnt impact the general populace?
