When I first played the sapphire game and defeated the elite four I eventually met latias roaming the grass. And since I accidently used my masterball I decided to kill latias since I believed that i could never catch it.

Then later when I was training my pokemon out at sea I met Latios in the game.

How on earth did this happen?! Was there a glitch in the game? Is it becuase I killed Latias, and furthermore, isn't it impossible to come in contact with a roaming legendary at sea?

Nopes. Mew, Jirachi and Deoxys are event only and the others you can get them by trading with other games (Ho-Oh in Colosseum, Lugia in XD and Mewtwo in FR/LG)

wait a minute.. i know u cant normally catch deoxys in this game but.. if u have the EON ticket then u can board the ship and it will take u to BIRTH ISLAND and there u see a little triangle and then u have 2 click on it a couple times and then u get deoxys in ruby, sapphire and emerald

nopes. Eon ticket takes you to "Southern island" where Latias or Latios resides (the one that you don't find in your version). The ticket that takes you to Birth island is the auroraticket, and it can't be obtained in Ruby/Sapphire (only on FR/LG and Emerald).

yah thats the way i caught my dexoxys on my fire red and also when u get the auora ticket not only do u get o catch deoxys u can also cathc ho oh and lugia there too. but u find them on a seperate island there both lv.70.

nintendo events aren't in the game. you have to go to an event in the real life to get a ticket downloaded to your game.

Ruby and Sapphire are the exact same games, with few differences in "which and how often Pokémon appear". Pokémon Emerald is a remake of Ruby and Sapphire: this time Pokémon Sprites are animated, there are some plot changes and the Pokémon that appear are also different.

FireRed and LeafGreen are remakes of the original Red and Blue (Red and Green in Japan) games for the GB. They include some plot extensions and compatibility with Sapphire and Emerald (and other games).

i have the bonus disk... my friend gave it to me not knowing what it was but i was nice and gave him a jirachi. the thing with the bonus disk is that it works infinite amount of times but you can only get one jirachi per game.

Nopes. Ruby and Sapphire were released with Jirachi and Deoxys in the code, but they were not revealed.

Later, Pokémon Colosseum was released containing a promotional Jirachi for the US versions of the game (the japanese had Celebi instead) and THEN Jirachi was revealed, for the movie.

That's why Jirachi and Deoxys aren't catchable, because Nintendo didn't want you to know that they existed before their movies were released.
