This video was from 2004 if I remember right. I saw the same lineup a couple weeks ago with Chicago and EWF and Verdine was still doing his thing on stage. So much energy up on stage. I want what this guy has. Great Concert.
Verdine White loves to play and it shows. Whoever is knocking him, sure as HELL don't know what Verdine is about,or himself for that fact. A Professional Roadie posted this
verdine is power and endurance, he can dance and play that groove for ages and still focuss on the counting and the rest. I ll be tired after a while and my fingers will be sore.
Interesting you should say that. Verdine's Electric Bass teacher was session great (and later trombonist for the Phoenix Horns) Louis "Lui Lui" Satterfield.
I LOVE it

Verdine really comes off as a bit too much of a clown about it though. it all looks kinda weird. lucky he's a real chillin bass player though.

After Free....it sounds like they dropped into a rendition of a James Brown groove, at least the breakdown was the same. Really fun stuff!

Just listen to Verdine's bass line from the time he moved to the upper platform till the end. He's a bass wizard. Damnnnnnnn.
