Hm, since you seem to use gps GPS on other models you could try this: With FPV, fly towards the target and give a release "clearance" once your crosshair passes the target, but have an onboard cpu calculate the actual release moment from camera angle and height and speed readout.
Just in case you need something to keep you busy. :D
